How to Look Classy In Winter White

Wearing All-White

I love wearing white during winter. It’s classy, elegant, and something different from the blacks, grays, greens, etc. that we usually wear. I’m sharing a winter white look that’s easy and classic. I’ve also done a post on how to wear a slimming all-white look here.

I’d wear this look around town running errands or to a casual dinner. I’m wearing white skinny jeans (stain-resistant!!) from Banana Republic with a drape front white top. My third layer is this really pretty white cardigan from Banana Republic (on sale now). A tip for wearing an all-white look…vary the textures. I’m wearing denim, a silky top, and a fuzzy, eyelash cardigan. All of the textures give the outfit a more interesting look. This cardigan also works beautifully over sundresses. You can see how I styled it for spring weather here.

To finish off the look I’m wearing Baublebar earrings, and brown suede Vince Camuto booties. If you don’t want to wear all white, substitute the white cardigan for a faux shearling coat (above) or faux fur jacket.

If you’re taking a beach vacation soon and want to wear an all-white summer look, check out this post for some outfit inspiration.

Five Tips for Wearing All White

1. Vary Textures

Varying your textures will give your look depth and keep it from looking too flat and boring.

2. Pick Shades of White That Compliment Each Other

We no longer live in a world where color tones and shades have to match perfectly so just throw that idea out of your mind!! Mixing shades and tones looks sophisticated and luxe.

3. Accessorize

With all white, I LOVE to wear rich brown accessories like the belt above. You can also go with more white or even a bold color or print pop! The wonderful thing about all-white is… is literally a blank canvas. You can accessorize with basically any color.

4. Proportions

If you’re wearing a billowy blouse or oversized cardigan/jacket, make sure that you’re bottom half is fitted. Proportions and shape are key.

5. Confidence

Lastly, wear it with confidence. As long as you feel good …you’ll look good!
