Animal Print 2 Ways
Prints keep getting more and more popular. At this point, you’ve probably seen people wear leopard, snake, zebra, tiger, and more! If you’re not sure how to wear prints… don’t worry… I have a couple of tips to make wearing prints a cinch! Plus, some outfit ideas that will make you want to try them.
I styled the skirt below in today’s spring lookbook video here.

SKIRT | TANK | BAG | HEELS | NECKLACE | SUNGLASSES
Leopard Print Skirt
It can be tough to find a leopard print that I really love. But the print on this skirt is gorgeous! I like that the richer colors. The tones make this print different from the tradition leopard print pieces. The skirt is very comfortable, a great length (thank goodness for midi length), and super stylish!
Tucked into the skirt, I’m wearing this cropped, white AQUA tank. It’s the perfect layering piece. I love it! Wear it alone or under a chic jacket. I styled it in another spring look in this post.
My Chloe Tess bag goes perfectly with the darker browns in the skirt. And I threw on some nude pumps for that barely there look. The key to wearing prints… keep everything else neutral.
PANTS | BODYSUIT | BAG | HEELS | NECKLACE | SUNGLASSES
Snake Pants
I mean…these pants are the COOLEST! They’re a faux suede with cool metallic accents and clearly super fitted. These are not forgiving so you have to be feeling ready to wear these. The color is appropriately called, Slither,
The top I’m wearing is actually a bodysuit! Now…before you completely write this off, let me tell you. I didn’t want to mess around with bodysuits either. But, I actually love this one! It feels secure, you don’t have to worry about your top riding up, it stays tucked in, and it’s surprisingly comfortable! This bodysuit has cute ruched sleeves and a hook and eye closure in the front. It’s a little low cut so you might want to wear a lace camisole or bralette underneath.
Tips For Wearing Prints
Think Small – Small scale prints are usually better. A large scale print will make you look larger. You want to wear the print, not let the print wear you.
Keep It Simple – If you’re doing a print, make sure you keep everything else simple. Let the print stand out on its own! In both looks above I wore white tops and neutral accessories. The print is the star of the look.
Balance – Think about what area you are placing the print on. If you have a bigger bust, you might not want to wear a printed top and vice versa. Think about your prints drawing the eye to flattering places.
Confidence – Always wear your outfit with complete confidence! If you try to wear those Mother snake pants and you’re not feeling it? Try again another time.
