One trend I LOVE to get behind in the winter…white boots! I have to admit the first few times I styled them years ago, visions of a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader flew through my mind. But, now I gotta say, I’m really digging them. They are sexy, a little unexpected, and unique. There are so many ways of styling white boots and tons of different options…tall boots, pointed-toe, stiletto, ankle boots, white booties, and chunky Chelsea boots are just a few. In this post, I’ll share 3 ways to style my all-time favorite, white knee-high boots AND share some other white boot options I’m loving.
You’ll find some of YOUR favorite boots and other top selling style, beauty, and home products from 2022 in this post!
How To Wear White Boots in Winter
Favorite White Boots For Winter
Let’s start off with the star of the show, these Schutz Maryana pointed-toe boots. They’re fabulous! So fabulous I actually own them in 3 colors including black and python print. They look great with jeans, skirts, and dresses. The heel height is 3 ½ inches so they are very manageable to walk in (for heels!). They’re also a pull-on style and have a slight dip in the front and back which is flattering on the leg, especially around the knee. For those of you with wider calves, the circumference on these is 15” which is on the looser side (anything over 15’’ is considered wide). These boots add just the right touch of sexy to your winter looks! And, they are more versatile than you might think. I’ll show you 3 ways to wear them in winter from casual to dressy.
3 Ways To Wear White Boots
White Boots + Denim Joggers
This white boot outfit idea is SO on-trend and cool. While many of us are used to wearing slim or skinny jeans with tall boots, I’m here to tell you…try your tall white boots with loose-fit jeans! I’m wearing a pair of Rag & Bone joggers that look just like jeans. But the whiskering, fading, pockets, and stitching elements are actually printed on the fabric. So, they are lounge pants disguised as jeans. Brilliant! It’s rare to find pants with an elastic waist that are THIS stylish.
I’m wearing the joggers with a beautiful, ivory Tory Burch sweater that has an amazing fit and strategically flattering ribbing. I finished the look with one of my favorite chunky necklaces and a gorgeous teddy coat by Vince (I sized down to an xs for the perfect fit). This loose jean and tall boot combo is very fresh! The trick is to find a lightweight denim fabric that can easily tuck into your boots and that will also pool nicely. These denim joggers are also easy to tuck in because of their elastic cuff. This look would be trickier to pull off with stiff denim.
Shooting Location: This super cool shooting location is an art installation out of Valentine, Texas, about 25 miles outside of Marfa. It’s meant to resemble a Prada storefront and was installed in 2005. Pretty cool, huh?
White Boots + Mini Skirt
This next look was shot in the same location as look #1. I’m wearing a fun, sequin blazer and mini skirt by Alice + Olivia. I love this set so much…it’s glamorous, exciting, vibrant, and it makes me feel feminine and fabulous. But, I get that not everyone will gravitate toward this exact same look. So, you can always draw inspiration…the white boots look amazing with a short skirt if you like to show off your legs. You can see that the width at the top of the boot is looser which can actually make your leg look more slender (rather than a tight-fitting boot).
White Boots + Maxi Skirt
If you aren’t a fan of miniskirts, this last look might be more your speed! I’m wearing a gorgeous sweater and midi skirt set by Tory Burch. The skirt length is perfect for anyone who prefers more leg coverage (I’m 5’4”). The fabric is stretchy and the dark brown panel at the waist is ultra-flattering. The matching mock neck sweater is cropped to pair perfectly with the skirt but will also be beautiful with high-waisted jeans or pants. It’s the same sweater I’m wearing in Look #1! I love an all-white look in the winter. Pair your tall white boots with midi or maxi skirts in a coordinating tone or mix it up with a print. Wear them now and in the spring too.
White Chelsea Boots
Since we’re talking about boots and skirts, I wanted to show you a pair of boots that didn’t have a high heel in case you don’t love wearing heels or you need a more functional white boot for winter. You might remember these boots from 2021. I wore them on our family trip to Barcelona where we were doing a ton of walking. This outfit is an example of one of my favorite style formulas…mixing feminine and masculine pieces together. But, it also shows you that you can look stylish AND be comfortable at the same time. The boots add some edge to an otherwise very feminine outfit and the chunky sole offers a bit more stability. I topped off this winter white outfit with a slouchy white sweater and a fun tulle midi skirt. The exact pieces are from a previous season, but I linked some similar options above.
