If you haven’t already, make sure you check out the posts where I broke down tops and sweaters, pants and dresses, boots and shoes, undergarments, and outerwear and bags. Must-Have Accessories

Since there are so many options out there, you have some freedom when choosing these accessories. Just make sure they are high quality, versatile, easy to style, and something you love!

Warm Scarf & Dressy Scarf

For warm and dressy scarves I look for versatile color combinations. For example, the leopard print scarf above is PERFECT when it comes to versatility because it is a mix of black and brown. I would also suggest investing in a lighter weight scarf that you can travel with and wear in other seasons. I show you how to style both a blanket scarf and a skinny scarf in these videos.

Neutral Gloves & Hat (Climate Dependent)

Get some gloves that are black, brown, gray, or tan. These colors will work best with the rest of your wardrobe. You might also want to find some gloves that are tech-friendly. Meaning you can keep them on and still use your phone. They’ll cost a little more but they are worth it! For the hat, the same color rules apply. This hat should be one that keeps you warm. So find one made with warmer materials like wool or cashmere. For extremely cold climates, look for hats with an extra band around the ears.

Everyday Gold & Silver Necklace

Finding everyday jewelry is really a personal preference. Your everyday necklace could be a collar necklace, layered necklace, choker necklace, etc. It’s up to you! I like finding pieces that are unique! But not so unusual that I can’t wear them every day. Since these are pieces you’ll wear every day, you might want to spend a little more to get higher quality gold and/or silver. Some of my favorites brands are Monica Vinader, Argento Vivo, Baublebar, and Catbird. Another favorite for bold costume jewelry is Elizabeth Cole.

Everyday Gold & Silver Bracelet

The same rules apply for the everyday bracelet, earrings, and ring. Remember to choose pieces that are minimal enough you can wear them daily, but big enough to have impact on your overall look.

Black & Brown Sunglasses

I suggest one black pair you love and one brown pair. You could also do a combination of one sporty pair,  i.e. aviators and one dressy pair like these square sunglasses above. Go-to brands for me are BP. at Nordstrom (very affordable ~$16), Le Specs (~$70), and Quay (~$70). For higher-end sunglasses, I love them all but lean towards Chloe or Celine.

Reversible Belt

Reversible belts can be hard to find but I promise it’s a lifesaver! Find one with a simple, small, or minimalist buckle. I suggest a reversible belt that’s black on one side and brown on the other. But you can find one with different colors. At least one side should be black though. I love this one by Salvatore Ferragamo but it’s pretty expensive. Tory Burch also makes a pretty one for less.

  1. I really enjoy your sight. I seem to have a lot of these pieces but putting them together gets a bit frustrating, so i will resortback to jeans and a sweater. Boring. Thanks for ideas
