5 New Year’s Eve Outfits That Will Make You Sparkle This Holiday Season!

Do you stay in or go out for New Year’s Eve? We usually stay in and keep it simple, but I’ve put together some exciting NYE outfits that might inspire me to get out and sparkle this holiday season! Plus, I know many of you have exciting plans to ring in the new year, so we wanted to share a few outfit ideas to do it in style! #1) Lace + Leather

Lace Top

This look is perfect for those of you who want to look chic, festive, and sexy for NYE, but don’t love sequins and shine during the holiday season! You really can’t go wrong with leather and lace so in this look, I’m wearing a gorgeous, romantic lace top by Simkhai that’s completely sheer. I love the unique lace pattern, covered buttons, and satiny cuffs and collar. Since it’s completely sheer, you can wear a black cami underneath or add a little extra sexiness by wearing a bra top. It runs true to size, I’m wearing a small.

Leather Pants

You could style the lace top with classic jeans, black jeans, a gorgeous skirt…or leather pants! I love mixing different styles and adding edgy leather to the romantic lace creates a really cool look. These pants by Commando have a super flattering center seam down the front that elongates the legs and highlights my fabulous shoes. The split hem is also super cool, edgy, and flattering. They are pull-on style pants so there’s plenty of stretch in the tummy area. They run true to size.

Embellished Shoes

It wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without a little sparkle so I added a pair of crystal-embellished Badgley Mischka pumps. They have a pretty high, 4” heel but they’re comfortable (for heels!) and easy to walk in. The crystal embellishment on the toe is beautiful and I love the sleek look of these heels. The pointed toe is also elongating and flattering. They run true to size and come in multiple colors. The black is selling out fast so if you don’t see your size, grab these instead…they are almost the exact same but with a lower heel!

#2) Sequin Dress

If you’re someone who does love to wear all that glitters and shines for the holiday season, this is the look for you! The simplest NYE outfit is to throw on a sequin dress. I’m wearing this gorgeous Maje dress that has the prettiest small sequins all over. It has a gathered waist and fold-over flounce skirt that are SO flattering. The long sleeves and boatneck contrast the amount of skin you’re showing with the shorter length and sexy back. The completely open back has delicate black straps that are very pretty. You can either wear nippies with this dress or no bra. It runs true to size, I’m wearing a 1 (that fits like a 2-4). This exact dress keeps going in and out of stock but I linked some more sequin dresses below.

I styled it with a pair of polka dot tights and my favorite Stuart Weitzman sock booties but you could go with regular sheer tights and booties, no tights, pumps, knee-high boots, or whatever you prefer. Throw on your coat and you’re ready to head out the door for a fun NYE out!

Statement Earrings

To complete the look, I’m wearing a pair of statement earrings by Ettika that add even more drama to this look. If you don’t want to invest in sparkle for NYE, consider adding a pair of statement earrings to your look instead. These come in black, silver, and gold and are only $60!

#3) Velvet & Sequins

Next, try some velvet with your sequins for New Year’s Eve! This Bardot top can easily be dressed up or down depending on the dress code of your NYE party. I love the rosette detail at the halter neck that’s very on-trend. You can wear nippies or no bra with this top if you are smaller busted because the velvet material is so thick and supportive. The ruching under the bust is very flattering and I also love the open back! It runs true to size.
I styled the top with a pair of black sequin pants by Open Edit. They are pull-on style, super comfortable, and SO fun! They’re lined on the inside, so you don’t have to worry about the sequins being itchy on your skin. The 28” inseam is perfect on me (I’m 5’4”) with heels and the fit is great. They run true to size.

#4) Sequin Top & Jeans

I bought this sequined 1.State top in 2022 and it’s still in stock in two colors so I had to share it as an option for New Year’s Eve! It has a mock neck, long sleeves, and a beautiful, dramatic draped back. This top is perfect for a holiday party, a night out, or even during your family get-together at home for NYE dinner. It comes in black and a cool color called Silver Dust. It runs true to size. I styled it with jeans, but you could dress it up with black or leather pants too.

#5) Sexy Top & Jeans

Depending on your New Year’s Eve plans, you might want to add a little sexiness to your look. Any of these tops would be wonderful for a NYE dinner out with your spouse or drinks with friends. Each top has a special detail that makes them sexy and oh-so chic!

The black top (left) has cutouts and a body-skimming silhouette that’s very flattering. A one-shoulder top or sweater (middle) is always a lovely, not-too-sexy option. And the green top (middle) has a sweetheart neckline, ruching, and cropped length that are very sexy.
