If you don’t like the color black, remember you can always build a basics wardrobe around browns, beiges, and navy. Look for some great basics tees and blouses, both long and short-sleeved in black and white. I LOVE this long sleeve, lightweight, spandex, layering tee for travel and much more (pictured above)!! It comes in a few other colors. I bought black and white.

Pants & Jeans

There is no shortage of high-quality jeans and pants. This is the time to upgrade your denim!! And grab those basic black trousers you need for the office.

Boots & Shoes

Remember to think about comfort and function with your boots and shoes. I always look at Vince Camuto, Marc Fisher, Sam Edelman, and Stuart Weitzman. All of these lines are incredibly high quality. They are modern in design and the sizing is uniform.

Look for jewelry that is versatile enough for every day, but also impactful to your overall look. Bags should be in a neutral versatile color, large enough to carry all your things, but not so big it overwhelms your frame AND the hardware should be minimal.
