Chic & Sophisticated
This gorgeous Acler dress might be the next white dress addition in my closet! I have two Acler dresses I bought last summer and absolutely love. This one has a flattering cinched waist, dramatic puff sleeves, and eyelet embroidery throughout, AND it’s cotton so you’ll stay cool!
Does this dress look familiar? I have it in a beautiful rust color and it’s one of those dresses that makes me feel instantly confident and sexy. I know it’s probably out of some of your comfort zones (it was out of mine at first too) but if you give it a chance, you might just love it! Plus, it’s perfect for that resort getaway with your significant other.
Alexis makes beautiful, special occasion dresses. I love the embroidered eyelet and intricate lace detailing on this mini. The removable twisted rope-style belt is also great if you want to cinch in the waist.
If you’ve been following me a while, you probably remember this gorgeous For Love & Lemons dress from about three years ago. It’s a sexy mini with a shorter hemline and open back. I love how the lines on the front are strategic and super flattering, creating a defined waist. It has a slightly flared skirt to provide forgiveness around the hips, butt, and thighs (great silhouette on many body types). Because of the back, you will have to wear pasties, a Nubra, or no bra, depending on what you’re comfortable with. I love how feminine yet sexy this dress is. It’s perfect for cocktail events, showers, date nights, etc.
Rococo Sand is known for its fun resort-ready styles and this mini would be perfect for a beach trip, with wedges to go to lunch with friends, or dressed up for date night. I love the v-neck, sheer sleeves, and fun lace and fringe hem.
If you’re looking for a casual but chic white dress, this En Saison maxi is a great basic with a twist. It has pretty eyelet details on the flutter sleeves and tiered hem. The empire waist is super flattering on many body types. The criss-cross straps in the back give it a sexy feel (but you can still wear a regular bra). And it’s cotton so you won’t get too hot!
This casual cotton Bardot dress is the perfect versatile dress for spring-summer! You can wear it with sneakers to run errands or with espadrilles for dinner. You can dress it up or down for pretty much any occasion. AND it’s cotton so you'll stay nice and cool.
I LOVE this dress! I know the cutouts and string-wrap trends aren’t for everyone, but this dress does it in a way that makes it feel a little closer to my comfort zone. The longer hem and sleeve coverage balances out the exposed skin.
If you want a super affordable dress that doubles as a coverup, try this BB Dakota dress. It has pretty flutter straps and it’s cotton so you’ll stay cool and it’ll dry fast if you use it as a coverup!
This is sexy while still making you feel like you’re covered up. If you love your arms but don’t love showing off your legs, I’d go for something like this Jonathan Simkhai maxi! The keyhole detail on the front and back are sexy and you get to show off your shoulders, but the rest is completely covered up.
If you liked #13 but don’t want to show off THAT much skin, this Wayf dress is another lovely option that has the same cutout trend but doesn’t show too much! The cutout is only on the sides and doesn’t extend all the way to the back. I also love the tiered skirt and puff sleeves.
