From The Runway
There were SO many fun and fabulous shoe trends on the spring 2019 runways. Runway trends are usually the exaggerated version. What we end up wearing is typically a modified version of what is on the runways. Be sure to pick and choose what you love. You do not have to love everything. Select styles that feel like you.
I think this one is the most fun and the most outrageous. Wouldn’t it be amazing to jazz up a LBD with a pair of feathered pumps or mules??
It’s a slightly new twist on evening shoes. Everything adorned with crystals! It can be done subtly like the middle photo above. It’s a very elegant and feminine way to try the trend.
For those that REALLY love the beach… the nautical-inspired shoe. Like the pair with the starfish detail above. Thoughts? I’m loving the shell ankle strap. Isn’t it so chic?? What do you all think of this one? Comment below.
This reminds me of those shoes that Elizabeth used to walk around in that came in a dress up set. I found an amazing way to modify this trend with these white mules.
I’ve seen tons of shoes with translucent straps or details. I think this is an interesting trend with many wearable options!
Florals were all over the runway in prints, stitching, embroidery, etc. It a great way to add a pop of color to your look!
Wrap It Up
I love the sandals that wrap around the ankle. It’s SO sexy and interesting. I think they would be cute this summer with cropped jeans or shorts!
We saw this trend on lots of boots and booties last fall/winter. Now we’re seeing it on heels and sandals! It adds some edge to your look!
Shoes as art. These sculptural heels almost look like works of art. Embrace this trend when you want your look to be ALL about the shoes!
Chunky sandals were all over the place! I like platform anything since I’m a shorty and they add height. Check out the platform sandals below.
Put A Bow On It
Bows were also all over the runway! We saw them in different ways. As you can see in the photo above, there are bows around the ankle, bows on the toes, and more! I think if it’s done right, it can be quite sophisticated without seeming too cutesy. Check out this post featuring a fab pair of light blue bow pumps for reference.
