Looking To Freshen Up Your Home This Spring? Try These 8 Easy Tips!
When it comes to fashion, it’s pretty clear what needs to happen when the weather starts to warm up and spring is in the air. You move those heavy sweaters to the back of the closet. Lighter fabrics seem more enticing. And it’s fun to start peppering in some bright colors and patterns with your daily looks. But it might be less obvious how to make those same spring refreshes in your home. So, how do you bring your home out of winter hibernation? Sharing 8 tips to get you started and a few bright and chirpy décor picks to inspire you for spring’s arrival…it IS coming. We promise!
Simple Tips for Spring Home Décor Refresh
Let’s start with a few things you can do around your home to add a spring-like feel (even if there’s still snow on the ground).
Add some nature like green plants or fresh flowers.
Change up your throw pillows and blankets to a lighter color palette.
Rearrange your furniture, sometimes this is enough to make things feel new and offer a new perspective!
Add a bowl of lemons or oranges to your tabletop.
Swap out your throw pillows or add covers to them in spring-like patterns or colors like yellow, pink, light blue, white, and light neutrals.
Take everything off your coffee table, side table, or bookshelves and rearrange and/or add some lighter and brighter options.
Add a spring-like scent (like citrus or a light floral) to your home with a candle or diffuser.
Declutter (kind of obvious but yup!).
Speaking of decluttering, you can find our Spring Cleaning Checklist for every room in your home, here if you’re looking to get super organized!
