La Double J Floral Dress
You may remember this vibrant La Double J dress from one of our recent For Less Friday posts. The bright blue print is so beautiful and perfect for a spring wedding so we had to share it again! These shades of blue look amazing on so many skin tones and the fit-and-flare silhouette is extremely flattering on most body shapes. The neckline isn’t too revealing, and the thicker straps allow for a regular bra (yay!). It also has pockets and a modest midi length (Erin is 5’4” for reference).
The fabric is a stretch cotton poplin so it’s more wrinkle-resistant, making it perfect if you’re traveling for a wedding. It is pricey and is the most expensive dress on this list, but we shared even more options at more affordable price points below. And if you really love this dress, make sure you check out the more affordable option linked below.

I was astounded that #3 would be considered as a dress for a wedding reception where one has to sit, stand, bend, dance, and perhaps do cartwheels if one has enough punch. This dress is only 29inches long. Most tunics are this length or shorter, which means this dress would not even cover your bum! Well a couple feathers might. It is cute in a Goldie Hawn 1970 kind of way. But Geez.
Hi Jan! It’s always SO important to check on the length of dresses compared to your own body, as you have noted. If you love something but feel it’s a little short, you can always pair it with tights if your event is in the evening. Here’s some similar dresses with feather details that are longer to consider as well. ~Team Busbee
