Black One-Shoulder Maxi Dress

The piece you’ll actually wear on repeat this spring and summer (for real)… this beautiful one-shoulder cotton dress from ME+EM! It’s sophisticated, simple, elegant, and SO comfortable. You can wear this on a beach vacation by the pool, out to dinner, to any party, and even running errands with sneakers or flats…it’s that versatile!

I love that the one-shoulder neckline adds a dash of sexy and modernity to the dress. It has a smocked bodice that feels very secure, and depending on your comfort level and size of your bust, you can wear it with or without a strapless bra. There’s a thin grip strip at the top that helps keep it in place, so you don’t have to worry about tugging or pulling. The skirt of the dress is a gauzy cotton that’s breathable and lightweight, perfect for those hot summer days! It’s lined so you don’t have to worry about the see-through factor either. I love a maxi dress for summer and this one is the perfect length (I’m 5’4”). Oh, and I almost buried the lead, it has pockets!

Pearl-Detail Sandals

I styled the dress with this chic pair of pearl-detail kitten-heel slingbacks. These sandals are that perfect combination of elevated and casual so you can dress them up or down. I love the oversized pearl details that add a touch of femininity to any look. The straps are elastic and the slingback has an adjustable buckle for added comfort and the perfect fit. The block heel is less than two inches, making these very manageable and easy to walk in…YAY! I love these sandals styled with the dress for dinner or on vacation. But they’re so versatile I’ll be able to style them with denim, skirts, and pants this spring and summer too.

Black One-Shoulder Top

If you love the look of the one-shoulder dress but don’t love dresses, you can always do a one-shoulder top! The black one-shoulder top I’m wearing above is a wonderful option. It’s a different fabric than the dress…more of a knit. But it still has the grip strip at the top to hold it in place. The silhouette of this top is incredibly flattering with the nipped-in waist and peplum hem. Peplums are very on trend this spring and summer too! You can wear this to dinners, for date night, on a trip, etc.
