Who else is obsessed with animal prints?? If you are a regular reader, you will know that I rarely use that word, obsessed. But in case… it fits! Animal prints, while always on-trend, are super HOT right now. They are EVERYWHERE and you can find animal prints on everything from shoes to bags to skirts to dresses. There are some really simple ways to rock the trend; Think animal print clutch or shoes. But, in this post, I wanted to show you a couple of outfit ideas that might be a little outside your style comfort zone. Because it’s important to do that every once in a while.
So what do you say…? Want to take a walk on the wild side?? (Oh, you knew some puns were coming!)
Look #1 | Python Skirt
Isn’t this python wrap skirt the CUTEST?? I love the wrap silhouette with skirts. It is always more flattering than just a regular skirt.
When wearing a print, I like to keep everything else pretty neutral so I paired the skirt with a cute white off the shoulder top (similar) and the MOST VERSATILE and stylish mules Coraline High-Heel, Peep-Toe Mules. The color is called wild mushroom. I am going to wear these mules all the time because they are gorgeous and will go with everything. Plus, they are comfortable!

Dress It Down With Sandals
You can dress the same look down by swapping out the mules for a more casual pair of sandals like these simple and chic Keandie Croco-Print Slide Sandals. The Keandie slides come in three colors and are the perfect everyday summer sandals.

Green Clutch
When you are wearing all neutral colors, it’s SO fun to add a pop of color.
The Iggy Tassel Clutch is the perfect pop to take this look to the next level! The color, woven texture and tassel make this clutch quite unique. It’s big enough to carry all of your essentials. The clutch comes in three other colors but the green is my favorite!

Look #2 | Leopard Print Dress
For those fashion risk-takers, you can try something a bit more full-on … like this animal print slip dress! When wearing a substantive printed piece like this, again the key is to pair it with neutrals. I’m wearing the dress with a coffee-colored suede moto jacket and the same mules I featured above. See, I told you I am going to wear these ALL THE TIME. The green Iggy adds the pop we need to pull everything together.
I love how the jacket and the shoes soften the bold dress. If you wanted to dress this down, you could also wear the same metallic sandals from above.

Shoot Location
By the way, if you are familiar with Telluride, you may recognize this area. It’s at the end of town by the mine and Bridal Veil Falls. I’ve driven up to Bridal Veil several times to hike… and also see the spectacular views. This year we have had SO much snow and rain, the snowmelt actually washed away the road in one section. I have no clue how they will fix it, but I sure hope they do. You can see the falls in the background of the image above. It’s called Bridal Veil because it looks like… you guessed it… a bridal veil!

Erin, I so love your style ideas, elegant and always classy with a bit of edge that is always a standout! Also helps that my colouring is very similar to yours, so your outfits also look great on me, for the most part! Carole from Toronto Canada hugs!
Hi Erin! I just turned 50. I have been an RN for 28 years. I’d love to do something else, but what?!?! What could I do to support myself and love? I am a single mother to a 14 year old boy, so we need stability. I’d love to do something in entertainment, public speaking, you tube, etc. I have no idea where to start “dreaming”. Any ideas?
Thanks, jerilyn
