Did you know that women 5’4” and under are considered “petite?” Many of you are surprised to hear that since 5’4″ is an average height. I’m actually 5’4″. Most of my life I have wished I were something more like 5’7″ or 5’8″ but you have to work with what mother nature gave you, right?? In my case, I can fake it a little using styling tricks that make me look taller as well as heels, of course! If you are petite, you’ll understand that when you finally find clothing that fits you perfectly…it’s life-changing! That’s why I wanted to share some of my go-to brands for petite clothing!

#1 | White House Black Market
I love WHBM! They have an incredible petites selection. White House Black Market is known for high-quality workwear basics with modern twists. I recently did a post on a fashion unicorn I found at WHBM…petite coated jeans! Oh…yeah! You can read about those leather-like jeans here. I also shared petite office outfits in this post. Right now, they have petite collections called Work, Polished Casual, and Black & White Collection.

#2 | Nordstrom Petite
Nordstrom has a large petite selection too and you are not relegated to one specific brand. You can shop their petite selection by clicking here. Some great brands to look at are Halogen, Wit & Wisdom, and Topshop.

#3 | Asos Petite
Asos Petite is designed for women that are 5’3” and under and sizes starting at 2. They offer plenty of casual and special occasion options! For fun office attire, try Vero Moda Petite. Find party dressed by Boohoo Petite and everyday dresses by New Look Petite.

#4 | Ann Taylor
Ann Taylor’s petite collection is extensive including tops, sweaters, dresses, pants, jeans, etc. This is a great place to get your wardrobe basics and workwear! BTW, if you missed my fall basics series, you can catch up on that here. Always check the Petite Size Guide as petite sizes tend to run smaller overall. I am typically a 2 regular and 4 in petites.

#5 | J. Crew
J. Crew is another retailer with a great petite selection! You can get jeans, pants, skirts, dresses, outerwear, and more! All at shorter hemlines to fit your petite frame.

Anthropologie – If you’re style is a little more boho and you’re petite, try Anthropologie’s petite collection! It’s SO good!
Express – I LOVE Express. They have really modern, chic options that come in petite. If you have some freedom in what you wear to work, you can definitely find some cute stuff at Express! I just did a video on modern work outfits from Express you can watch here.
Banana Republic – This is another shop that offers a lot of their styles in petite! A great place for basics.
