Happy Holidays Shower Gel 6-Piece Collection | Philosophy, $72.98
I am so excited to be working with QVC on this post reviewing some of their top rated holiday gift ideas!
Let’s start with the Philosophy Happy Holidays six-piece shower gel collection.
What Is It?
This six-piece set by Philosophy, is available at QVC.
It comes in six different colors and six classic holiday scents.
The Happy Holidays collection cleanses and moisturizes your skin and hair.
It is a multi-purpose cleansing gel that you can use as a shampoo, shower gel or bubble bath.
Bubble Bath
I thought I would first put it to the test by bathing my kiddos in it.
Gage is 7. Elizabeth is 4.
Both have very sensitive skin.
I used “Christmas Cookie” for their bath.
The smell is delicious (but not overpowering)
The bubbles were big, and lasted over an hour.
And BOTH of my kids’ skin felt very soft after the bath.
Shower and Shave
Next, I took a shower and shaved using the Iced Orchid gel.
I’m not into strong scents. This one is very subtle.
I have been having some trouble lately when I shave.
My skin looked great after shaving.
And, I also noticed that my legs felt REALLY soft with no lotion.
I’m pretty impressed!!
Bottom Line: This Philosophy set, which can be used as a shampoo, shower gel or bubble bath, gets high praise from me!
It left my skin (and my kids’ skin) soft, hydrated and smelling great!!
Konjac Charcoal Sponge | Julep, $16
At first glance, I wasn’t really sure what the Konjac sponge was exactly.
I thought it was some type of makeup blender.
But, after some swift research I now know more about this old Korean beauty secret!
In the VIDEO above, I show you exactly how to use and care for the sponge.
Keep reading below to hear my thoughts.
What Is It?
This incredibly soft sponge is meant to exfoliate your skin.
Konjac is a type of Korean plant that is great for your skin.
It is so gentle you can exfoliate your whole face, even under your eyes.
How To Use It?
It comes pre-moistened. Just open it up, rinse it with warm water and massage your face in a circular motion.
It gets rid of all the dead skin cells. It also removes makeup.
When you are finished, just rinse it out and hang it on your suction cup hook.
Rinse it in very hot water in the shower to sanitize once a week.
My Test
I used it several times on my face.
At first, I didn’t really think it was actually exfoliating because it’s so gentle.
It doesn’t feel like typical exfoliators.
Well, when I looked at the sponge, there was a plethora of dead skin and makeup.
NO question it did the job!
I really love the tear drop shape also… to really get under the eyes and around the nose and ears.
Bottom Line: The Konjac Sponge by Julep at QVC is a great, everyday, facial exfoliator for someone with sensitive skin, eczema or aging, thin skin.
Reversible Oversized Faux Fur Throw | Dennis Basso, $48.96
This luxe, over-sized, faux fur throw blanket is a great gift or addition to your living space.
Key Features:
It looks and feels like real Chinchilla, but it’s faux fur.
The throw is reversible so you can keep it on the leopard print side, or go for the solid, velvety, taupe side.
It is machine washable! That is HUGE in my house, especially with blankets.
It is also ginormous (ginormous is actually in the dictionary).
The 68 x 60 size, means you can cuddle up solo, or with your better half.
PLENTY of blanket to go around…
I tested it with both kiddos.
The three of us snuggled up, and watched Ice Age.
I also washed and dried it. No issues!
Bottom Line: You will love the size of this luxe, faux fur, throw blanket. It’s also versatile, washable, reversible and very affordable.
Ultra Repair Cream | First Aid Beauty, $39.96
This is my new, favorite hand cream. It’s just awesome!
Key Features
The scent is subtle and fresh.
I don’t like strong scents, especially on my hands, and these scents are lovely, not overpowering.
The “original” cream is fragrance free.
The “Ultra Repair Cream” is also incredibly hydrating.
It absorbs quick and doesn’t feel greasy.
Each tub of lotion comes with its own gift box that you can address individually.
FOUR gifts… DONE!
I’m planning on keeping mine and putting them next to the hand soap at each sink.
