OK, what exactly is a lady jacket you might ask? It’s basically an updated take on a timeless, Chanel-like sweater, cardigan, or jacket. It’s usually cropped, collarless, and has distinctive buttons. Lady jackets are super feminine and versatile because you can wear them as a 3rd layer or as a stand-alone piece. You’ll often see lady jackets in tweed, but you can also find them in cotton, wool, boucle, and even denim. You can wear one casually with jeans or a denim skirt, as office wear, over a dress…there are a ton of gorgeous ways to style them. They function similarly to a blazer in your wardrobe but are a more on-trend update and still just as versatile.

She swapped out the white v-neck tee for a black crew neck, creating a streamlined effect that’s sleek and slimming. Such a great outfit for date night or dinner out! If leggings aren’t your thing, you could also pair your lady jacket with a cool pair of coated jeans to achieve the same look.
