Who says you can’t mix brown and black?
Not me.
I have done it a few times, and I think it’s an incredibly chic and unexpected combo.
When I’m mixing atypical color combinations like this, I like to have one anchor piece.
My anchor piece in the look above… is my belt. It is black and brown, and I think it ties everything together.
This dress I’m wearing is by Bailey44.
It’s a brand I remember well from pregnancy.
I bought a bunch of Bailey 44 tops while I was pregnant with Elizabeth because I loved how soft they felt against my skin.
I also loved how stretchy the fabric is…It worked well, with and without my baby belly.
The top of this dress is that same soft, stretchy fabric.
So imagine my excitement when Bailey 44 contacted me, asking if I wanted to team up on a blog post!
I get to try out some of their clothes… in exchange for sharing my thoughts with you. Um, yes!
I paired the “Reed” dress with a leather moto jacket, but you could also wear it with a blazer or cardigan if you want to soften the look.
Wear pumps for a more classic look, or strappy heels for a sexier date night look.
If you are short-waisted you can fold the top of the leather skirt down… to give the illusion of a longer torso.
As always, let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you so much for stopping by … and thank you to Bailey44 for partnering with Busbee Style!

Yes, a colour combination that for me at least was a bit frightening to try. The look is great! Just wondering… Out here where it is winter and cold
what would one wear instead of a bare leg with a similar outfit? It really goes without saying…you look gorgeous 🙂 Thanks Erin xo
I have always loved black and brown together and your outfit is drop dead gorgeous!
Do you feel the Bailey44 runs true to size? Love the brown & black together!
