HOW TO WEAR PLEATS

Pleats are one of the standout fall trends.

I LOVE pleated leather! I think the leather edges up the pleats, which are inherently so feminine.

You can buy the real deal like this skirt by Alice + Olivia, or go with some faux leather pleats like this dress by Calvin Klein (around $70 with code “FRIENDS”).

Both of these options are appropriate for the office because the hemline falls a little above the knee (depending on your height).

I love this striped sweater with the built-in collar…aka built-in layering! (Anything that makes your life easier is a welcome addition to the wardrobe.)

If I could afford this YSL handbag, I would buy it!! But, alas, it is not in my budget. It’s an incredible investment piece with incredible versatility.

A black trench coat is one of those must-haves in every woman’s wardrobe. The one I picked for you (below) by Trina Turk for $238.

I think this look is great for transitioning from day-to-night. You will look just as polished at the party as you do at the office.
