How To Wear A Romper
Finding an affordable, age-appropriate, flattering romper is tricky. And styling rompers over 40 can be even trickier. No doubt about it. But, I’ve found the perfect romper for summer that you can rock with confidence. Plus…I’m sharing three ways you can style it including two looks that give you more coverage.
If you’re interested, you can find more tips on how to find the perfect romper here.

#1) Romper with Tee Underneath
This romper from Express is very lightweight… think paper thin… so it’s perfect for a hot climate or summer. It’s also SO soft and silky on your skin, and ridiculously comfortable. I can easily sit in the car in this romper for hours, no problem! The romper has shorts under the skirt so it’s a traditional romper that looks like a skirt. It’s a one-and-done piece that will travel well. After being on the road for more than a month I’m more aware than ever of the need for versatility.

Reinvent Your Clothes
Don’t you just love a piece that’s really versatile? For me, the super exciting part is finding ways to reinvent a fashion find. When I put this romper on, I knew immediately that I would be able to style it multiple ways and dress it up or down. This look above is my favorite way to wear this romper…with a tee underneath! (This tee, btw, has the prettiest ruffle sleeves and it’s another really versatile piece that I’ll be able to wear with jeans and shorts for the rest of the summer.) I love putting a tee under the romper for a cool, unexpected look. It also provides more coverage, and the tee enables you to wear a regular bra.
Throw a blazer over your shoulders to add chicness to the look like I did.
Accessories
I kept the jewelry modern and minimal for this look. Express always has the best accessories at affordable prices. I love finding everyday pieces that are also impactful. This necklace is a trendy paperclip style necklace with pave details. The earrings look like classic hoops but have a cool rope design. And the chic round frame sunnies are under $45! I feel like I’m channeling my inner Meg Ryan in the 90’s in these. And, P.S. just got lost in Meg Ryan Google spiral. Ever been there? 😉

#2) Romper w/ Blazer
It’s really easy to add sophistication to an otherwise casual piece by adding another layer like this chic and tailored blazer. This linen double-breasted blazer takes the look up ten notches! It’s very lightweight, has luxe-looking gold hardware, and the fit is very flattering! I finished off the look with a pair of wedges, but you could easily wear strappy sandals or a cute pair of sneakers.

#3) Romper Alone
And of course, you can always wear your romper on its own. I wore it with a pretty lace cami underneath so there was an added feminine detail but you could easily wear it without the cami as well.

I found a dupe for the python sanals, made by Impo shoes. They were around $40.00, and I am sure they are not leather. However, they are very similar, if anyone is looking for a less expensive alternate.http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-135187563449121_2361_31389271
