I have received quite a few comments from you all asking how to wear sneakers with ‘regular’ clothes (‘regular’ = non-workout attire).
I am really happy about the resurgence of the sneaker. They are so comfortable and practical. VERY mommy-friendly. Not to mention easier on my old lady joints.
The first step to getting the look right…is buying a pair of sneakers that are cool (check out my picks below).
I like my Pumas because of the wedge (hello extra 2 inches) and they are also black which ensures they keep your line long and lean. I’ve seen quite a few fashion bloggers wearing white Converse or slip on / skater sneakers with leather leggings… super cute, no doubt, but it’s not going to be flattering on most of us.
I paired my sneakers with skinny dark blue jeans (see “My new favorite skinny jeans” blog for more about these jeans), a chambray shirt and black cashmere cardigan…All classic casual pieces, with polish.
Btw, this chambray shirt by Bella Dahl is a celebrity favorite for a reason. It’s incredibly soft and I love that it’s longer in the back to cover up your touche.
These pictures (below) were taken on the weekend goofing around in the backyard with my kiddos. Perhaps not the most glam, but this is me, most of the time. (See my YouTube vlogs for proof)
