If you have plans to go to a wedding this spring or summer, this is the post for you. I rounded up some of my current favorite options for wedding guest dresses below. Remember, a special occasion dress should feel special. Make sure whatever you chose makes you feel confident and stylish! Including LOTS of color, chic black dresses, and even an unexpected jumpsuit. Quick note…I tried to include dresses for a mix of wedding attires including semi-formal, cocktail, and beach. I’m seeing this Norma Kamali dress everywhere. Sarah Jessica Parker wore it in the Sex and The City reboot, And Just Like That… and since then, I’m seeing it all over my social feeds. It’s one shoulder, which is nice for many body shapes. But it’s the fabric and gorgeous ruching all over the dress that makes it SO flattering. You can dress this up or down for whatever wedding attire is listed on the invitation. It comes in a TON of colors. I linked a few options, but the dark blue dress is linked to a page where you can find all of the colors it comes in!
Bright and bold colors are very on-trend this spring and summer so if you love to wear color, a special occasion like this is the perfect time to wear it! The color of this dress is so gorgeous. It’s a more modest silhouette with long sleeves and a high neck but the flowy, sheer fabric at the hem and around the arms will still keep you cool.
I have a similar Acler dress in pink and love it. The movement and flow of the silky fabric are beautiful and the color is stunning! The detailing just under the bust is also super flattering and creates the illusion of a tinier waist. I also love the pleats and handkerchief hem.
If you’ve followed me a while, you know how much I love pink. It looks amazing on so many skin tones and it’s the perfect punch of color. This dress shows a little more cleavage but the longer hemline offsets that. You can also wear a shawl or jacket if you’re going to be in a church or want to cover up.
Florals, prints, and patterns are another big trend for spring and summer. I used to shy away from prints but have really embraced them over the past few months. Misa Los Angeles has beautiful printed tops and dresses…including this pretty blue and pink dress! It has a pretty tiered skirt, a sexy (but not too sexy) slit, and a flattering smocked waist.
Green is a big color trend and I love the subtle print on this Rhode dress. I have this exact dress style in a different color and took it on a beach vacation. This is the perfect wedding guest dress for a beach wedding but you could also dress it up for cocktail attire.
I am loving all the drama in this dress…it’s flowy, billowy, and beautiful! The color is so pretty and I love the tiered skirt. This would be another one that’s perfect for a beach wedding.
I love the modest halter neckline on this pleated asymmetrical hem A.L.C dress. The fitted material around the waist is flattering and helps conceal a tummy.
You can never go wrong with a wrap dress and when it’s black…even better! No matter what your body shape, a wrap dress is so flattering. This ba&sh dress also has subtly puffed sleeves and rounded panels that make it a little sexy. If you don’t love your arms but also don’t want to get hot at a wedding, go with sheer sleeves! They’ll conceal most of your arms but you won’t get too warm. Another bonus? This dress is under $140!
I HAD to include a jumpsuit. I personally love jumpsuits…they make me feel taller, thinner, chicer, and overall, more confident! This one is by Amanda Uprichard and has a pretty ruffled shoulder and high neck.
