What Colors Go With Olive Green?
Each season there are new “it” colors that we see on runways and in street style that we know will be hot for the new season. While the bright, exciting, new color trends are always fun, we love it even more when those color trends are neutrals! Olive green may not seem like a neutral color but because of its different shades and versatility…it really is a neutral color option that’s easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. Below, we’re sharing what colors go with olive green so you can really see how easy it is to style this color with other pieces you may already have in your wardrobe.
White
The first color that’s super easy to style with olive green is…white! Chances are, you already have quite a few white pieces in your closet…which means it’ll be super easy for you to style your olive green piece. In the look above, I’m wearing an all-white outfit with a beautiful olive green oversized blazer. I love how chic and elegant the monochrome outfit looks, but you could wear your olive green blazer with a white tee and traditional blue denim, over a white dress, or with a white skirt. Since white is such a basic, clean, neutral color, you can get away with wearing different shades of olive green too!

Black
Another easy color combo is olive green with black. In the two looks above, I paired the olive green blazer with an all-black outfit and the olive green dress with black accessories. Styled with white, the olive green really pops, but styled with black, the olive green is much more subdued. It gives a more modern, sophisticated feel if that’s what you’re going for!

Camel
Next up is camel! Pairing olive green with any sort of brown tone is really beautiful. As you can see in the look above, I’m wearing my olive green pants with a camel coat and darker brown boots. While this look might be a little out of your comfort zone, the color combination itself is really lovely.
Beige
Another brown tone that’s great to wear with olive green is beige. If you prefer to stay away from darker shades of brown, a lighter beige shade could work for you!
Green
I love a monochromatic outfit and wearing green on green is so chic! The best thing about a monochrome outfit is that you can play around with the color palette and choose different greens in the color wheel to create the perfect all-green look.

Pink
If you want to try something unconventional, consider wearing your olive green with pink. Hot pink, blush pink, pastel pink…they’re all pretty paired with olive green!
Navy Blue
Pretty much any shade of blue looks really pretty with olive green but I personally love the look of a dark navy blue. It’s hard to tell in the photo above, but the sweater I’m wearing has a pretty deep blue stripe and I love the way it looks with the olive green shorts.
Burgundy
Another unexpected option that’s perfect for fall is burgundy. The two dark fall colors look so nice together.
Olive Green Outfits
All Green Outfit
The first olive green outfit idea is a monochromatic look! Why? Because it’s so easy! You can either get a matching set like this one or choose different green pieces in your wardrobe. Varying the shades of green and different textures is what makes a monochrome outfit look so chic and stylish.
In this look, I’m wearing a beautiful olive green vest and matching pants by Ramy Brook. The vest fits like a glove in the best way, I love the gold tone buttons down the front that make it feel a little more polished, and the V-neckline is super flattering. I styled it with the matching pants but there are so many different options for a green monochrome look. Consider a green sweater paired with a green leather skirt, a green sweater with green pleated pants, green pleated skirt with a green silky cami…the possibilities are endless but hopefully this helps spark some style inspiration!
Pop of Olive Green
If an all-green outfit is a little out of your comfort zone, consider adding just a pop of olive green instead! Next time you wear your go-to outfit uniform, try throwing on an olive green handbag, shoes, or piece of jewelry for a simple olive green accent.
Olive Green Sweater & Jeans
Speaking of go-to outfit uniforms…one of my go-to looks for fall is a pair of jeans, a sweater, a blazer, and either sneakers or some sort of heel. Instead of reaching for your favorite black or gray sweater this fall, try an olive green sweater! The sweater in the graphic above by House of Harlow has a cool fuzzy cable knit texture, funnel neckline, and is the perfect cropped length to wear with high-rise jeans.
Olive Green Pants & Sweater
Another great way to try out olive green is with a pair of pants! The pants in the above graphic, by Paige, are a wonderful option because of how versatile they are…wear them to work with pumps, to dinner with sexy heels, or to run errands with sneakers. If wide-leg pleated trousers aren’t your style, there are plenty of other olive green pant options out there and I linked a few favorites below.
Olive Green Dress
The last olive green outfit idea is this chic and versatile printed dress by Velvet. This is one of those dresses you can dress up with heels or down with sneakers. Make a few accessory swaps and you’re ready for dinner or running errands. In the graphic above, I chose pieces you’ve seen throughout the post and that you probably already have something similar to in your own closet. Plus, I linked a few other green dress options below…
