Winter To Spring Wardrobe Essentials
1) Ulla Johnson Silk Floral Blouse
This gorgeous silk blouse by Ulla Johnson has the prettiest green, pink, and taupe tones. It’s one of those tops that you can easily wear year-round. Since it’s silk, it’s very lightweight and perfect for layering. You can dress it up with trousers or a skirt, or you can wear it casually with jeans and booties like Erin’s wearing it. You can leave the tie keyholes at the neck open or closed which changes the overall look of the blouse. It just has the best elevated details like the puff sleeves and elastic cuffs.
On the left Erin styled it with some baggy cuffed jeans by Citizens of Humanity, white Schutz booties (we’ll see more of those in a bit!), and a brown leather belt. On the right, you’ll see another way to style the top once the weather gets a bit warmer. We paired it with some ecru-colored jeans by Pistola, Sam Edelman slides, and a fabulous, springy Veronica Beard woven bag. This top is an easy one to wear now and later!

2) Free People Care Soul Sweater
Next up, is this textured white cropped sweater by Free People. This sweater has been a best-seller allll month so if you picked it up, you are in good company! It has a wide turtleneck that doesn’t highlight the skin under your chin and it’s not tight on the neck. It runs true to size, but Erin did size down to an XS for a less boxy fit. When you think “sweater” you might not be inclined to keep this around through spring, but you definitely should!
On the left, you’ll see Erin paired the sweater with her Mother Huster white jeans. These are another favorite you’ll hear more about further down in this post. She also added some Marc-Fisher western-inspired light brown suede booties to finish off her look. We just love this winter-white look. But, in the graphic, you’ll see that you can pair the sweater with some denim shorts to get even a bit more life out of it when the weather warms up. We styled it with Erin’s favorite See by Chloe wedges, and a cropped twill jacket by Paige. Depending on the temperature where you live, both of these looks are very spring-friendly. Oh, and as of the day we are writing this post, the sweater is on sale for under $100!

3) Mother The Hustler Jeans
Erin loves the fit of these Mother jeans so much that she owns them in multiple washes. They are just SO flattering…especially for white jeans. White jeans can be frustrating and tricky. They can be see-through, too light-weight, too stiff, etc. But these are the Goldilocks of white jeans…because they are just right! They have an 11” rise, a 27” inseam, a raw hem, and the best fit. Erin wears them year-round with everything from heavier sweaters to breezy tops.
On the left, Erin styled the jeans with a lightweight ASTR The Label sweater with the prettiest pointelle knit fabric. It has geometric details on the fabric, a higher turtleneck, and cool extended shoulders. It runs true to size but does have a shorter hemline, which works perfectly with the high-rise Mother jeans. It’s also only $69! On her feet, she’s wearing the same Marc Fisher booties as the previous look. Then, on the right, we styled the jeans with a bright and cheery springy top by Farm Rio, a cropped trench by Steve Madden, and a pair of woven slingbacks by Sam Edelman. Both of these looks are perfect for spring. Yes, you can wear your white jeans in all seasons!

4) Schutz White Booties
Chances are you’ve seen these Schutz booties a time or two before if you follow Erin on Instagram. She owns them in black as well! They’ve been sold out everywhere, but we just found them fully stocked and on sale so if you’ve been wanting to grab these, now’s your chance! They have a 3 ½ inch stiletto heel but they truly are comfortable (for heels). They have a side-zip closure for easy on/off and a pointed toe which is leg-lengthening when worn with dresses, skirts, trousers, and wide-leg denim.
Here, Erin is wearing the booties with the same cuffed Citizens jeans we mentioned in the first look. On the right, we styled them with a Free People sleeveless sweater and skirt set that you can wear separately or together. What a great 2 piece set for spring! We added a black Madewell bucket bag, (Erin has the same one in brown and loves it) along with some chunky black sunnies by Dior. White or light-colored boots and booties will be easy to transition into spring when we tend to embrace a lighter color palette.

5) Staud Cable Knit Dress
Our last piece that you can easily wear now and into the spring is this Staud cable knit two-fer mini sweater dress. The white collar and rounded shirttail give this dress that effortlessly chic layered look without any bunching or tucking whatsoever. The lighter camel tone is seasonless, so you’ll wear it year-round…including this spring.
On the left, Erin is wearing it over a pair of straight-leg AG Mavi jeans and some brown booties. This adds that extra layer of warmth for the winter months. On the right, we styled it with an oversized denim jacket by Free People, and a pair of super comfy Dolce Vita platform sneakers. The dress is more of an investment piece, but when you consider cost per wear given the versatility, it’s a slam dunk.
You can read more about the Dolce Vita platform sneakers in this post where we compare them to their designer counterparts!
