Does it Live Up to the Hype?
The short answer is…yes. The SK II Facial Treatment Mask is absolutely worth the hype and money. But, I hope you will keep reading to find out why.

The last time I had a facial was before my wedding, which was more than ten years ago. Extras, like facials, definitely get put on the back burner when you are in the throws of motherhood. I’m not saying that’s right, it is what it is. Motherhood is freaking hard and non-stop. I sometimes wonder, what the hell did I do with all that extra time BC (before children)?
Even if I did go for a facial, I know that I would lie on the table and think about all the amazing things I could have accomplished with this hour… I could have gone to the grocery store, volunteered at school, gotten that blog done. Guilt would creep in at every turn. I am sure you all know what I’m talking about.
Well, I’m really happy to report, you do not need to spend an hour and a half, $80 bucks + a tip… to get facial-like results. The SK II Facial Treatment Mask will get your skin glowing in fifteen minutes, and you can multi-task while masking. I actually made my bed and then watched a little of my current favorite show, Billions, while masking.
What’s In It?
First, let’s talk ingredients. What is in this mask? Pitera is listed as the main, trademarked ingredient. That means absolutely nothing to me so I did a bit more digging to find out that Pitera is: a rich liquid containing amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and organic acids, said to improve skin clarity, decrease wrinkles and lighten dark spots.

How Do You Use It?
It is recommended that you use the mask after cleansing and toning your skin.
You remove the mask from the foil pouch and place gently on your face, lining up the eye, nose and mouth holes. Will you scare small children? Absolutely. It looks frightening! Almost, Jason-like… but hey, who cares…? As long as it works.
Once you line everything up, massage the mask into your face. In the pouch there will be extra liquid which you could use on your neck, chest and hands.
To Rinse or Not to Rinse
You do NOT need to rinse this mask off. You can massage any excess liquid into your face and leave it for added hydration. If it’s too goopy, simply wipe the excess off with a tissue and pat dry.
When Should You Use It?
This will be the hardest part…deciding when to bust out this mask and use it. I would suggest saving the SK II Facial Treatment Mask for something special and using it a couple of hours before your big event.
You could also use it several days leading up to your big event, which is what many women do before their weddings.

Now, let’s get down to business. Does this facial mask warrant the hype and awards? Check out my skin in the pictures above with NO MAKEUP (except mascara). It is GLOWING. Look at my cheeks. That is not highlighter, it is radiant skin. I am totally hooked, and I feel lucky to have this “not-so-secret,” secret beauty weapon in my arsenal. When I hear of other women going to see the facialist, instead of thinking to myself…oh I need to do that. I ‘m going to say, oh that’s wonderful… and remember I can always pull out my SK II mask and save a crap ton of time and money.
