The Easiest Momiform

Every busy mom needs a go-to outfit that’s 1) comfortable 2) easy and 3) stylish! Enter…the tank dress! I’m all about a jeans and tee momiform for fall and winter, but during the summer, you need something that will keep you cool. A tank dress is PERFECT for running kids around, going to the grocery store, grabbing lunch, or whatever you have on your plate! Here are two of my favorite midi tank dresses that will get you through the summer with ease. You’re welcome! 😉

Black A-Line Midi Tank Dress

What I love about this tank dress is the A-line silhouette. It’s fitted and forgiving in all the right places! It’s fitted through the top for support and starts to flare out around the hips. This silhouette will mask bigger hips, butt and thighs The square neckline is also very flattering and unique.  And can we talk about the length…? Yay for longer skirts! I do NOT always want to wear shorts or shorter dresses and skirts. I like my legs, but holy cray… I’m 45 next month, and I just feel more comfortable with longer hemlines now. This dress is by Treasure & Bond and only $79!
I dressed it up with chic white heels, a white bag, and edgy gold jewelry. But you can easily wear it with sneakers or sandals!

Gray Tank Midi Dress

This tank dress by Rag & Bone is more fitted, so but it’s SOOOOO good! It’s a waffle knit material, but still breathable. It’s a midi length and has a cool racer back. And, I love the contrast between the black/gray material on the seams and the body.
I’m wearing the dress with the same accessories from the first look. White pumps, my new white Givenchy bag, and a bold gold bracelet. You could wear this dress with booties and a moto jacket, sneakers, sandals, etc.

  1. Love your Blog & your style!
WhaT size are you wearing in the
Black treasure & bond and the
    Fawn david lerner dress??
    Would love a reference.
Heading to co in a couple weeks
And would love these for my trip!

  2. Love your styling on these tank dresses. BTW, i saw that comment re: Dowdy, specifically your jacket. This person obv doesnt know the chanel look. You are the furthest thing from “dowdy” that i know of. Just saying!!!

  3. Love tank dresses, can dress up or Down.. curious About siZing though… Love when you put wHat size you aRe wearing, great to have a reference!! Love Your style!!

  4. I agree that a tsnk type dresd is gt for every mom. However, when i look at pict and i try to imagine myself going to the gr or running errands- in an outfit- i think about who i might see, who might see me. IN SMALLER COMMUNITIES, it’s Not usually cOnsidered appropriate for moms to show cleavage in the day hours. AlSo, dresses and tops need to be bra friendly. Going braless is coNsidered in poor tasTe unless we are talking beach wear(which would call for a cover up anyway.)

    1. The black one, which comes in several colors, is more forgiving than the gray. You can wear a regular bra with it and you do not see every lump and bump. In a couple of photos shooting down, it looks more chesty… but it’s really not. Runs true to size.

  5. Love the ease of tank dresses. However mterS have gotten so light.. they seem to show every Dimple And bump…
any options you may know of with thicker fabrics?? Or is there a LIGHTWEIGHT smoother or such?

    1. the black one has an a-line skirt and is much more forgiving than the gray. The fabric is NOT paper thin either. Plus, you can wear a normal bra. Hope that helps… Erin xo

  6. Erin those white pumps are sold out in my size (7.5) everywhere 🙁 Hoping they get a restock. Love the white bag too.

  7. Hi Erin- Thank you for this post on tank dresses- A great option for summer and so much more doable for someone older and a little more concerned about coverage- i enjoy your posts and your adventures- thank you for your excellent style advise-
