Wearing All White

You CAN Wear All White… and Still Look Slim

Wearing all white doesn’t have to mean looking heavier.
There are a few secrets to looking slimmer when wearing this traditionally unforgiving color.

Monochromatic Looks Are Slimming

Anytime you wear one color from head to toe, it has an elongating effect, and white is no exception.

Wide Leg Pants

Another trick to looking longer and taller (whether you are wearing all white or not)…wear wide leg pants.
This pair my Milly runs large and long.
I’m wearing a size 0. I suggest sizing down one size. I can also hem my pants about 1/4 inch. I just haven’t gotten around to doing it.
(So, please do not write me that my pants are too long. LOL).
You want to tailor your pants so they are 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch off the ground. This will keep you looking as long and lean as possible.
You should only see a SLIVER of the front of the shoes.

Pointed Toe Heels

When you wear heels, you obviously gain height, which will make you look slimmer.
The pointed toe peeping out of the bottom of the trousers, will add the illusion of even more length.
These trendy mules are from Target, btw, and ONLY $34!

Fabric Choice is Key

When buying white separates, you should also be aware of your fabric choice.
Thin fabrics like jersey will be less forgiving, than thicker white fabrics.
These pants, for example, are quite thick and will hide all lumps and bumps.
A body skimming sweater is a great option.

Body Skimming

Like your fabric choice, your fit is also very important, especially when wearing white.
When in doubt, opt for body skimming fits, rather than clingy silhouettes, which may highlight lumps and bumps.

Neutral Accessories

To keep the line long, you want to make sure your accessories are also light or neutral tones.
