Double Yoke Denim jeans by Re/Done new denim styles

Double Yoke Denim

The first new denim trend is double yoke! Double yoke denim just means that there is stitching around the hips that comes to a point along the zipper line. The way that the stitching comes in is very flattering! I love these because they have a deconstructed vintage look to them. I’d describe them as a vintage, western-inspired mom jean.

Button Fly Jeans

This one is less of a trend and more of a denim detail. The button fly detail is when all of the buttons are exposed. They’re usually a different color that makes them stand out against the fabric of the jeans. Some of my favorites are these by Veronica Beard. You can find the exposed button fly detail on skinny jeans as well. I love the Natasha jeans by J Brand.

Wide Leg Jeans

This is not a new trend. But worth pointing out! Wide leg jeans are super flattering and fairly easy to style. Plus, they’re a nice alternative to other denim styles. Find some that are high waisted so they make you look even slimmer in the tummy.

Kick Flare Jeans

I own a few pairs of kick flare jeans and always forget how much I love them until I put them on! Kick flares are basically a cropped wide-leg jean. They’re tapered along the leg and flare out again at the ankle or calves. These are great if you want to show off a cute shoe! One note: if you’re petite, you will most likely have to get this style altered because of where they’ll hit.

Mom Jeans

For a while, the term ‘mom jeans’ was not used in a positive way. But now, they’re back and better than ever! You can wear them with a pair of white sneakers and a tee and look like the COOLEST mom ever! For a classic mom jeans option, Levi’s 501s are what made mom jeans cool again.
