You Only Need These 3 Pieces for the Perfect Casual Easter Outfit!

Casual Easter Outfit

How do you typically celebrate Easter? I prefer to keep things pretty casual. We tend to start with an at-home Easter egg hunt since we still have snow on the ground, and then go out for brunch. Whether you’re headed to church, Easter egg hunts with kiddos or grand-babies, or having brunch with the family, it’s still fun to dress up a little! Below I’m sharing a chic and simple outfit formula for the perfect casual Easter outfit. Plus, these pieces will seamlessly integrate into your spring/summer wardrobe. They are all incredibly versatile!!

By the way, if you’re looking for some dresses for Easter, weddings, or special occasions, make sure you check out this post next!

Must-Have #1) A Printed Top

The first piece you need for the perfect casual easter outfit is…a pretty top that feels joyful! This Alice + Olivia butterfly top is SO gorgeous and special. I used to be afraid to wear prints but over the past few years, I’ve fully embraced them. When you find the right print, it can make you feel so happy…don’t you agree? I love the bright, vibrant colors that are perfect for spring and summer, the chic pleated sleeves, and the flattering v-neckline. It’s a cotton and silk blend so it feels very nice on the skin, but the cotton keeps you cool, which makes it a great top for any of you who prefer to keep your arms covered during spring and summer.

This top is also VERY lightweight. It runs true to size and I’m wearing a size small. It keeps going in and out of stock so if you don’t see your size, I love the print on this top and it has a very similar fit and details!

If prints aren’t your thing, don’t worry…you can swap out the printed top for a beautiful spring-colored blouse, button-down, bodysuit, or whatever you have in your closet! I linked a few fun options below…

If you like to wear tops that cover your arms but keep you cool, make sure you check out this post with more of my favorite finds.

Must-Have #2) White Jeans

The next piece you need for your casual Easter outfit? A well-fitting pair of white jeans. I know a good pair of white jeans can be difficult to find…believe me, I’ve tried quite a few! I look for white jeans that 1) fit well, 2) are not see-through, 3) have pockets that are already sewn shut, and 4) are thick enough, they don’t show all the lumps and bumps. Every woman’s body is different, so I highly recommend ordering a few pairs of white jeans (I linked some options below), trying them on at home, and returning any that don’t work for you.

My holy grail pair of white jeans that I love are these Mother Hustler jeans. I have them in a few washes and wear them all. the. time. The fit is SO good and you don’t have to worry about the see-through factor, or bulging pockets. They have a 27” inseam (I’m 5’4” for reference) and run true to size. The length is great with flats (as you can see in the photos). I’m wearing a size 26. If you haven’t found your favorite pair of white jeans, definitely give these a whirl. But if you’re not a fan of white jeans at all, you could swap them for a light-wash pair of jeans instead!

Must-Have #3) Chic Sandals

The last piece of the casual Easter outfit formula is… a chic pair of sandals! You could wear heeled sandals, strappy sandals, wedges, espadrilles, woven sandals, sneakers, flats, or whatever your casual shoe of choice may be. To keep is really casual, I’m wearing a pair of brown Sam Edelman slide sandals. These are a great pair of sandals to have in your spring/summer wardrobe to throw on with jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, joggers, etc. They’re super versatile, high-quality, comfortable, and come in a bunch of colors. If you wanted to dress this up a bit more, I’d wear a pair of espadrilles or heeled sandals. I linked a few more options below as well.

That’s the simple formula!
Printed top + white jeans + sandals = the perfect casual Easter outfit!

I personally love the raw hemline and slight destruction, but if it doesn’t feel good for you or speak to you – skip it! Only wear the things that you love and feel great in, Elaine! ~Erin xo

I love Alice and Olivia pieces — there is so much humor. I have the Stacy Face sweater because the little characters somewhat resemble me and get so many comments when I wear it. Love this outfit — too cold still, here in Los Angeles to wear white pants and sandals, but that can change overnight. Love this, Erin.
