One Size Fits All Swimsuit Brands
For many, swimsuit shopping isn’t a joyful experience. In fact, it’s right up there with root canals, flight delays, and those days when you wake up thinking it’s Friday only to realize it’s still Wednesday ??♀️…frustrating. When I heard about one-size-fits-most swimsuits, I was intrigued! Because let’s face it, it’s the inconsistency in fit across brands that can make it difficult to know which size swimsuit to buy. Do you size up? How “cheeky” is a cheeky bottom? And “full coverage” for some brands really is…or isn’t. Let’s take some of the guesswork out of it. In today’s post I’ll share some favorite brands for flattering swimsuits over 40. And the awesome up-and-coming trend in swimsuits when it comes to sizing and fit! Who wants to hit the easy button?
In case you missed it, this post has an essential fit guide to finding the perfect swimsuit over 40 to flatter YOUR body.
One-Size-Fits-Most Swimsuits- Why?
Dual sizing, combination sizing, easy fit, or one-size-fits-most swimsuit sizing is gaining popularity. Here’s a few reasons why…
- Timeless Designs – The brands I’ve discovered offer primarily classic solids vs. prints and timeless silhouettes that will last for several seasons. The cuts of many of these suits are similar to styles we saw in the 60’s and 80’s, and are still very on-trend today!
- Quality Fabric – The all-over smocking and seam-free Lycra fabrics mold perfectly to the body. It holds you in and feels secure. The stretch-to-fit designs are super flattering. While the fabric thickness varies by brand, you’ll generally see the same fabrication used for the one-size-fits-most styles.
- Easy Fit – Combination sizing is so ideal for anyone that is in between sizes when it comes to swimsuits. No more guessing or worrying about band and cup size. If you are typically between a size US 2-10/12, these suits should fit you.
- Sustainability – Each of these brands mentions sustainability in production. This is definitely important in my book!

Huza G Swimsuits
Hunza G is the first combination-sizing swimsuit brand that hit my radar. And I was pleasantly surprised with the one-size-fits-most sizing and fabric! I ordered this bikini for a romantic trip with Chris to celebrate our wedding anniversary. For this trip, I wanted to feel confident, comfortable, and…a little sexy. The bikini top is a bandeau style and even though it’s strapless, I felt very secure. The bottoms have medium coverage, but I feel very comfortable in them. They aren’t high-rise so that’s a consideration if you’re worried about a tummy. Both pieces have pretty tortoiseshell ring details which add a little something extra. If bikinis aren’t your thing, Hunza G also makes beautiful one-pieces with the same dreamy fabric. Sharing a few of each below…

Maygel Coronel Swimsuits
I haven’t yet tried a suit by Maygel Coronoel, but this Latin designer makes gorgeous combination-sizing swimwear with the MOST feminine details. If you like a little drama with your swimwear, these swimsuits are “extra” in the best way, yet still ready-to-wear and functional. The fabrication on some of the suits is that same stretch Lycra you find with most easy-fit swimsuits. But other styles are made of a stretchy Spandex. Sizing is One Size for certain swimsuit styles and 3 sizes for others…Petite, Standard, and Plus. I could picture a few of these swim tops worn with high-waisted linen pants or a sarong skirt for a fabulous vacation look!

Bond Eye Swimsuits
Bond Eye is another combination-sizing swim brand that has some gorgeous suits. The brand is Australian with a focus on top-notch fabrication and sustainable production practices. Their 2 pieces do not come as a set so you can choose the top and bottom style that fits and flatters you most!

Good American Swimsuits
Good American is another brand to keep in mind when it comes to flexible swimsuit sizing. They offer dual sizing with their Always Fits line which just means sizes are grouped. So for example, Small/Medium or Large/XL. Their numerical sizing (depending on the suit) sometimes covers a larger range of sizes. For example, their size 1-2 fits US 2-8. In general, their suits are priced under $100….so a bit more on the affordable side. Here are a few classic suits to consider from this brand.
