Do you get the winter blues? When the thermometer reads frigid, freezing, or “just stay inside”, it’s easy to grab your favorite black or gray sweater, hunker down, and bundle up. But one way to combat the winter blues is with…lighter hues. Whites, creams, ivory, and other light neutral shades can brighten up your winter wardrobe AND maybe even your mood too. Erin has been a huge fan of an all-white, winter-white look for years. It’s unexpected and fashion-forward. Whether you want to embrace that head-to-toe look or just incorporate some lighter-colored pieces into your wardrobe, we’re sharing 12 chic neutral winter fashion finds, including separates and accessories, that you can wear this season.
Outfit inspiration is one of the things our readers seem to love most. We put together 45 outfit ideas for our SMS subscribers in this post for every occasion you might have coming up between now and the new year. Make sure you check it out here.

Neutral Winter Fashion Finds
1) Vince Cable Half Zip Pullover
Let’s kick things off with this gorgeous, off-white cable-knit half-zip sweater by Vince. It has a casual drop shoulder and a cozy collared neck. You can zip it up all the way, partially, or leave it completely unzipped depending on the look you’re going for and how cold it is. It’s 100% wool so it will keep you extra warm. We love that it’s not too bulky so you can still wear it under your coats and jackets. Erin styled it two ways here to show you the versatility. She’s wearing it with some baggy light wash jeans and white booties (more on both of those to follow!) and also with some Splits59 fleece sweatpants. They are 7/8 length so the length is perfect for petites, and would be cropped on taller women. This is one of those couch-to-curb, elevated sweaters that you’ll wear all day long!

2) Citizens of Humanity Ayla Baggy Cuffed Jeans
Here’s a closer look at the Citizens of Humanity baggy cuffed jeans from the previous look. Aren’t these SO cool? It’s probably more intuitive to reach for your dark wash or black jeans in winter but this lighter wash doesn’t feel summery at all when styled with the sweater and booties. It’s such a fresh alternative! If you’ve been wanting to try the baggy jean trend, the cuffed hem adds a little extra edgy chicness. But you don’t have to cuff them. The cuff isn’t sewn in so you have some styling options. You could also style these jeans with heels and a pretty silk blouse or blazer.
3) Schutz Mikki Booties
And now a few more details on the white Schutz booties. Erin owns these in black and white and while the stiletto heel may sound intimidating, they are actually pretty darn comfortable for heels because of the cushioned footbed. They fit true to size and have a side zip for easy on/off. The pointed toe helps create a long lean line. Style them with jeans, dresses, skirts, trousers…you name it! If you already have black and brown booties in your closet, a pair of white booties would be fun and fresh for winter.

4) Veronica Beard Herringbone Coat
This Veronica Beard wool-blend coat is the perfect mid-weight piece for wearing in between seasons. The herringbone pattern is so fresh and contemporary too! It has oversized lapels, a relaxed fit, and a removable, self-tie belt. Because it is unstructured and slightly oversized, you can easily layer a blazer or sweater underneath. The light camel ivory color is so pretty and will go with so many different outfits and color combinations. It is more of an investment piece that you’ll wear for years and years, but we’ll link a more affordable option in the same color family.

5) Mock Neck Ribbed Sweater
You might have noticed the sweater layered under the Veronica Beard coat in the last look. It’s a mock-neck pullover from Anthropologie. It has a super soft ribbed texture and a cropped cut that works perfectly with high-waisted jeans, pants, and skirts. We love that the neck isn’t tight or constricting. It has billowy sleeves but the waist is more fitted and flattering. This sweater is selling out fast but comes in a few other colors including another slightly darker neutral shade…don’t wait on this one! We’ll link a similar sweater if you can’t find your size. Erin styled it with a pair of dark wash AG bootcut jeans and some super cool Sam Edelman knit and leather boots in a light tan color that you can just barely see a sneak peek of under her jeans. You’ll want to check them out…they are really unique, have a lug sole, and a chunky heel.

6) Reiss Cashmere Scarf
We wanted to show you a closer look at this gorgeous lambswool and cashmere check scarf that Erin tucked into her coat in #4. These lighter gray, camel, and ivory tones look so rich and luxe. The color combination is just stunning and reminds us of a high-end designer scarf brand, without the hefty price tag. This scarf would complement pretty much any neutral-colored jacket or coat you might have. Oh, and here’s another peek at those Sam Edelman boots.
7) Guess Faux Fur Moto Jacket
This next jacket is a faux fur-lined jacket by Guess. Erin just raved about this on one of our recent team calls. She was really pleasantly surprised by the quality and fit. It has a spread collar and is fully lined with the softest faux fur (inside, cuff, collar, and hem). If you already have a black or dark-colored moto jacket, a winter white option like this one would be so fresh. You could style it with white jeans like Erin did or regular blue or black jeans would look amazing too. This is another piece that is selling out fast, but we’ll link it at a couple of different retailers below. Oh, and if you are curious about the fluffy white sweater Erin is wearing underneath the jacket, we share more about that in #11 below.

8) Callahan Knit Dress
A one-and-done lightweight dress like this one from Callahan is an easy way to incorporate lighter colors into your winter wardrobe. It has a subtle diamond knit design, a loose turtleneck, and a super flattering cinched banded waist for the ultimate waist definition. This is one of those versatile dresses that you can easily dress up or down. Wear it with heels or booties and layer a coat over it, wear it to the office with pumps, or wear it with sneakers, a moto jacket, and a large tote and you’re ready for a day of shopping or a lunch date. The fit is true to size and Erin is wearing a small.
9) Schutz Maryana Tall Boots
Erin styled the dress with a pair of Schutz knee-high boots. She loves these so much she owns them in white, black, brown, AND the python print. Schutz makes really great, high-quality shoes that are stylish, comfortable, and a great price point…and these tall sexy boots are no exception. They’re also so versatile that they look great with everything from jeans to skirts to dresses. The white is so fresh for winter! They run true to size.
9) ASTR The Label Sweater and LPA Skirt
In this fabulously chic look, Erin is wearing an ASTR The Label cropped cardigan and an LPA sweater skirt. The cardigan has gorgeous pearl buttons, statement-making pearl and rhinestone embellishments at the collar, and dramatic gathered puffed sleeves. This sweater has been sold out everywhere, but we just found it fully stocked AND on sale for $64 here. The LPA cable-knit, curve-hugging midi skirt is in the same color family as the sweater. The two pieces complement each other even though they aren’t an exact matching set. This lighter color combo is statement-making and very feminine! Both pieces fit true to size. On her feet, Erin’s wearing a pair of suede ankle boots by Paris Texas. They have a fitted upper, a pointed toe, and a wedge heel which makes them easy to walk in.
If you love feminine styles and looks as much as Erin does, we shared some fabulous outfits in this post.
10) LPA Skirt & Matching Sweater
Here’s the same LPA sweater skirt we showed you in the previous look, but this time Erin styled it with the matching cropped sweater. The sweater is very cropped so that’s a consideration if you prefer not to show your mid-section. It has a fold-over, loose turtleneck, padded puff shoulders, and it’s made of midweight cable knit. It looks super sexy with the matching skirt and the Paris Texas wedge booties, but you could also wear it with a pair of pleated trousers or high-waisted jeans.

11) Mango Fluffy Sweater
This super fluffy and cozy sweater from Mango is the perfect way to lighten up your fall and/or winter wardrobe! The texture is so lovely…don’t you just want to dive into it? It has a faux fur effect, round neck, and long sleeves. It’s also currently on sale for just $55. Erin styled it with some white jeans by Maje (on sale!) and a pretty red lip for a super chic winter white look. Have a Zoom call for work? Throw this on with your favorite joggers or sweatpants and you’ll be the comfiest…pulled together and warm. This sweater would look great with everything from jeans to leather pants.
If being cozy is your jam, we wrote an entire blog post dedicated to cozy gifts here. This sweater was featured in the post along with several other cozy and comforting finds.
12) Free People Tunic Sweater
This gorgeous ivory tunic sweater is super soft, has a subtle ribbed texture, and a mock neck. Since it’s a tunic, it’s oversized, giving it a more casual feel. Some sites call it a tunic dress. It’s a little too short for it to be a dress in our opinion! Erin styled it with jeans and booties for a casual lunch look. This is one of those pieces you can throw on with jeans for an easy, running errands look or you can wear it with leggings and sneakers for lounging at home or school drop-off. You’ll want to wear this cozy sweater all the time and you’ll style it in more ways than you think! It runs true to size.
