All Things Feminine Fashion Trend
Channeling this feminine trend doesn’t necessarily mean you have to wear head-to-toe pink, tulle, eyelet, or lace. You certainly can, but if that seems less approachable for you, keep scrolling for 5 ways to embrace the trend in the most elegant way. And, it bears repeating, that if this trend isn’t for you, ditch it! Only wear the trends that make you feel confident and beautiful.
#1) Soft Floral Prints
Floral prints are one easy way to wear this trend. In this first look, Erin is wearing a matching top and shorts set by Farm Rio in the most gorgeous floral print with feminine touches thoughtout. It has the prettiest embroidered eyelet trim, pleating, and scalloped inset lace. And the blue color would be stunning on so many skin tones. In the first set of images, Erin paired it with the matching shorts made from the same mid-weight linen. They have a flattering cut at the thigh which elongates your leg (bonus!). The details on these pieces are amazing and the mixed patterns look so high-end.
You could also wear the top with white denim, or wear the shorts with a simple white tee like the one Erin is wearing in the image above. Her Nation LTD tee is very lightweight and has feminine touches like the billowy sleeves, ruching at the cuffs, and slight puff shoulders. Both the See by Chloe wedges in the first look and the Sam Edelman espadrilles in the second look add that final feminine touch.

#2) Light Flowy Fabrics
Flowy pieces that move with grace and ease are also incredibly feminine. This dress is another piece by Farm Rio made from the loveliest fabric. It also has other feminine details like the sweetheart neckline and flouncy, tiered ruffled skirt. The straps are made of fabric bubbles that look like beads. You could wear this dress to a baby or bridal shower, graduation, brunch, or out to lunch or dinner. It’s so gorgeous in person, you won’t want to take it off. Break out the sneakers when you want to style the dress casually and get every mile you can out of this beauty.

#3) Ruffle Details
Next, we wanted to show you a contrasting look with feminine details. This black and white outfit is such a great combination of edgy and feminine. The black and white mixed stripes are striking and bold while the ruffle details on the top and skirt give this outfit those softer touches. The A-line Farm Rio skirt (yes, another Farm Rio piece!) has detailed piping, pleating, and then ruffled flounces at the hem and hip. It’s lightweight and made of a beautiful drapey fabric.
The black flutter sleeve top has tulle at the shoulders and a super flattering cut. This top is one of those basics with a twist we’re always talking about! It’s really just a comfy, elevated t-shirt. It also comes in white if you need a fresh white tee for spring/summer. To finish off her look, Erin added some platform sandals with rickrack trim and a cool raffia clutch by Cult Gaia. This look is a great way to balance your feminine style with a cool and modern vibe!

#4) Exposed Shoulders
Is there anything more feminine than showing off your collarbone and shoulders? These are such gorgeous parts of a woman’s body and while sexy, this look is also SO sophisticated. A few years ago, those peek-a-boo shoulder tops were all the rage. But now, one-shoulder, off-the-shoulder, and strapless tops and dresses are where it’s at! Erin is wearing a Cult Gaia off-the-shoulder bustier top made of a textured gauze fabric. It has a u-shaped sweetheart neckline, a boned bodice, and full puffed short sleeves. You can wear this top on or off the shoulders…both looks are beautiful. Sizing is limited on this one, but we’ll share some similar options below.
Erin paired the top with a pair of SUPER flattering white wide-leg jeans by Pistola. These have been a top-seller for the past couple of months. It seems you all love them as much as we do! Style tip: To add a lovely glow to your collarbone, chest, and shoulders, try a highlighter like this one or this one. It just adds a little body shimmer to enhance your skin without being too sparkly.
#5) Feminine White Top
White tops go hand-in-hand with spring and summer. Paired with jeans or denim shorts you get that same juxtaposition we discussed in look #3…a little bit of feminine, mixed with a little bit of edge. This Farm Rio white top is the epitome of femininity! It has puff shoulders, pintuck, and lace details throughout, AND scalloped, ruffled trim. It’s SO lovely. Erin paired it with a pair of R13 distressed denim shorts with a cool deconstructed, asymmetric front. The top is super limited in sizing, but we’ll share some white tops below with similar feminine details.
