Adding a blazer, or any third layer, creates that slimming effect but this blazer really takes that to the next level.

Outfits With Blazers And Jeans

Outfits With Blazers And Jeans

#1) Camel Blazer, Blouse, & Loose Jeans

In this look, Erin’s wearing a camel wool blazer with a pair of loose-fitting jeans and a silky blouse from Banana Republic. This is one of those looks you could wear to the office on casual Fridays or to lunch or dinner. Erin’s wearing a pair of pumps but you could easily swap them for a more casual shoe or sneakers for a really cool look. This wool blazer is a great basic if you already have your classic black blazer…it has a more oversized fit and casual feel. And the weight is perfect for fall.

Ultra-Cropped Blazer & Black Jeans

#2) Ultra-Cropped Blazer & Black Jeans

This look is a bit of a wildcard but it’s a great option for date nights. Erin’s wearing a herringbone wool blazer by Simkhai that’s SO cool and fashion-forward. It’s very cropped so you have to wear it with high-waisted jeans, pants, or skirts. Erin styled it with a simple black tank underneath and some black crop flare jeans by Citizens of Humanity. But you could also wear traditional blue jeans or even coated denim to really dial up the sexy. Throw on your favorite pumps or booties and you’re ready for a night out!

Pinstripe Blazer outfit

#3) Pinstripe Blazer, Tee & Flared Jeans

We love this look for lunch, dinner, or even running errands. Erin is wearing a cool pinstripe blazer by Steve Madden that has a more casual, oversized fit that’s still very body-skimming and elongating. Underneath, she has on a gray tee to keep it casual. And she paired it with some minimally distressed flare jeans. These jeans have such a great fit and are SO flattering.

Denim Blazer & Matching Denim Pants

#4) Denim Blazer & Matching Denim Pants

This next look is something you could either wear to the office if you have a lenient dress code, or to an event. Erin’s wearing a matching denim suit. The suit jacket is really just a cool denim blazer with luxe buttons, super soft denim, and the best fit. She styled it with matching denim pants that are equally soft and flattering. Underneath the blazer, she’s wearing a white button-down shirt with an oversized collar that really adds some edge. We love that this look is the perfect mix between dressy and casual attire.

Colorful Blazer outfit

#5) Colorful Blazer, Button-Down & Jeans

Another way to wear a blazer with jeans is by adding a pop of color with your blazer! In this look, Erin’s wearing a gorgeous red cropped blazer by ALC that really packs a punch. We recommend letting the blazer do the talking by keeping everything else in the outfit neutral. The blazer is a dressier style so juxtaposing that with a more casual, relaxed button-down, jeans, and loafers lets the blazer really stand out.

Black Blazer and Button-Down

#6) Black Blazer, Button-Down & Dark-Wash Jeans

This is the Veronica Beard scuba blazer we featured at the beginning of this post. Erin’s wearing it with a white button-down, super dark wash jeans, and loafers. You could wear this look to the office as-is or dress it up for date night by swapping the shoes.

Double-Breasted Blazer with jeans

#7) Double-Breasted Blazer, Silky Tank & Straight-Leg Jeans

If you liked the last look but want to take it up a notch or want something a little dressier, this is an easy outfit idea and a wonderful example of how a few swaps can elevate a look. In this outfit, Erin’s wearing the double-breasted Balmain blazer but any double-breasted blazer will do the trick. Instead of a white button-down, try a silky cami or tank to dress it up. Then add your favorite jeans and some black booties and you’re ready to go!

White Blazer outfit

#8) White Blazer, Tee & Baggy Jeans

If you want a more relaxed look, wear a blazer that’s less structured like this Cinq a Sept blazer. Erin has this in a few colors but the white is a go-to for her year-round. She’s wearing it with a white tee to keep it casual. But instead of a classic pair of jeans, she went with a trendy, split hem pair that helps elevate the look. To complete the look, she’s wearing some chunky gold jewelry and a pair of platform heels. You could wear this to brunch, lunch, or dinner, or swap the shoes and wear it more casually running errands!

White Leather Blazer & White Jeans

#9) White Leather Blazer & White Jeans

Erin loves a light, bright outfit during the fall/winter to break up all the dark colors we tend to gravitate toward during this time. In this look, Erin’s wearing the white leather Veronica Beard Cooke blazer with a white tee and jeans. She kept it casual by wearing sneakers but you could easily turn this into a date night look by swapping the shoes for neutral pumps or booties.

Double-Breasted Blazer & Wide-Leg Jeans

#10) Double-Breasted Blazer & Wide-Leg Jeans

Remember the Veronica Beard Miller blazer from earlier? Here’s how Erin styled it! It’s a dickey blazer so she has a sweater dickey zipped in to make it feel more casual. Underneath, she’s wearing a classic v-neck tee but if you wanted to dress this up, you could swap it for a beautiful blouse or cami. On her bottom half, she’s wearing a pair of wide-leg jeans and some pointed-toe booties. The super dark wash of these Paige jeans makes them feel dressier and helps elevate the look. Swapping these jeans for a pair of lighter-wash denim would instantly make it a more casual look.

Black Leather Blazer & Coated Jeans

#11) Black Leather Blazer & Coated Jeans

Next up is another super chic date night outfit. In this look, Erin created her own leather “suit” by pairing her Good American faux leather blazer and a pair of black coated jeans. If the coated jeans aren’t your style, you could swap them for regular black jeans or dark-wash denim instead. But we love the leather-on-leather look! Complete the outfit with a body-skimming top and some black booties and you’re ready for date night!

Sizing note: These jeans run really small, we recommend sizing up TWO sizes.

Steve Madden Leather Blazer

#12) Steve Madden Leather Blazer

Unfortunately, we don’t have a photo of Erin wearing this Steve Madden faux leather blazer with jeans but it’s such a great, affordable blazer option that we had to share! In this look, Erin’s wearing the cropped blazer with a sexy cami, some black joggers, and some slingback pumps. Swapping the joggers for a pair of jeans would make the blazer look super cool and casual.
