Are you embracing the cooler temps yet? You might be thinking of adding a few new fall sweaters to your wardrobe. Where do you begin? That’s what I’m here for! This roundup of sweaters is not only chic and sophisticated but cozy and comfy as well. But, cozy doesn’t have to mean oversized, ill-fitting, and stretched out. Noooo! Soft, high-quality fabrics with a sexy cutout, puff sleeve, or flattering v-neck … that’s the cozy look I’m after. Keep scrolling for 12 of my favorite sweaters getting me through the chilly days and cold nights of fall and winter…
Cozy Sweaters For Fall & Winter
1) Quince Cashmere Sweaters
A cashmere crewneck sweater is a must-have in every woman’s wardrobe! And this one by Quince is super soft, high-quality, comes in a bunch of colors, and is only $50! I loved it so much that I bought it in Ivory and Black. You can wear these cashmere sweaters with jeans, joggers, sweats, skirts, trousers, etc. They are THAT versatile and can be dressed up or down.
2) Splendid Cashblend Ribbed Sweater
If you want something more casual, I love this sweater from Splendid. It’s like heaven. It has Dolman long sleeves I really like, a wide boat neck that’s not too wide, and a looser fit that still gives some shape (which can be very hard to find!). I love the soft, drapey ribbed fabric and the neutral, versatile color. Use code BUSBEESP24 to get this sweater for 20% off. You can also grab the matching pants that are so comfy and perfect for a lounge day at home!
3) Quince Turtleneck Sweater
Next up is a fail-safe, classic wardrobe basic. This Quince turtleneck is made of a super soft, yummy cashmere and it’s only $90. I’m wearing the color Charcoal but it comes in a bunch of great options. Note on sizing: If you want a looser fit, go with your regular size. If you want a slimmer, tailored fit then size down. You can style this sweater with jeans, trousers, and skirts depending on the look you’re going for. It’s SO versatile!
4) Free People Ivory Cable Knit Sweater
This Free People cable knit sweater probably looks very familiar. I picked it up during the NSale this year and have worn it nonstop this fall. I love it styled with white jeans for a monochrome look, but it also looks great with classic denim, trousers, and skirts too. Plus, it’s super affordable!
5) Free People Oversized Sweater
This Free People sweater has a chunky, oversized fit and gives a more casual vibe. I love the ivory color but it comes in a few other colors that would be fun for fall/winter. The turtleneck isn’t too high and doesn’t highlight the chin too much, which I prefer. It’s not super heavy, so it would be great if you live in a mild or cold climate like I do. But the oversized fit makes it super cuddly and cozy. I love it styled with jeans, but you can also wear it with trousers or leggings this fall.
6) Frank & Eileen Hoodie
This Frank & Eileen hoodie is another super cozy piece that you can throw on for casual days at home, running errands, school drop-off, etc. You can wear it with leggings, joggers, sweatpants, or jeans for a simple, casual look. It’s 100% cotton but also has the brand’s amazing Triple Fleece fabric so it’s breathable but still warm…perfect for fall!
7) AllSaints Raw Hem Sweater
This gorgeous green AllSaints sweater is a go-to cozy fall sweater! It’s from a few years ago so it’s sold out in the green, but we linked it in an on-trend mustard color here and also found this green sweater that will give you the same look. The Allsaints sweater is the length for leaving untucked or doing the half-tuck. It’s soft and warm (cashmere blend) which is essential during fall and winter in Colorado. The distressed look of the raw hem adds interest and edge to the sweater. It has a roomy fit but it’s not too oversized, a must for sophisticated coziness. I love it paired with jeans but I’ve styled it a few ways, including with leggings and a collared shirt in this post.

8) Jenni Kayne Cashmere Cocoon Cardigan
Looking for a cardigan sweater you can cozy up in AND style in sophisticated ways?? This cashmere Jenni Kayne sweater is IT! I’m wearing it buttoned up with a pair of jeans and knee-high boots. But you could easily style this with comfortable leggings and slippers for a cozy day at home, black pants and a camisole for the office, or a blouse and wide-leg jeans for dinner. It’s an investment but the quality is amazing, it’s super versatile, and you’ll wear it for years and years! If you’re looking for a super similar option for a fraction of the price, check out this cardigan instead.
9) Jenni Kayne Cotton Sweater
This sweater is so versatile for cooler months and comes in a bunch of colors. With 100% cotton fabric, it’s lightweight enough for warmer climates but thick enough to keep you warm in the mountains of Colorado during the fall. Plus, it layers beautifully under a jacket. The ribbed knit texture gives any outfit depth, and the more relaxed fit is perfect for styling multiple ways. I also love the small cable knit details on the shoulders. Wear it with… jeans and booties, tucked or untucked, underneath your favorite jacket or coat, thrown over a dress, or tied around your shoulders with a tee…the possibilities are endless, and you can dress it up or down. It has limited sizing but we found this sweater that’s very similar and budget-friendly!
10) Jonathan Simkhai Sweater Jacket
Next up, is this Jonathan Simkhai sweater jacket. This is a really cool piece. It has a waist-defining detail that’s very flattering and a small peplum that’s great for hiding a tummy. The contrasting ribbing and cable knit textured sleeves are also really cool. You can wear it zipped up with jeans or unzipped with a cami or blouse underneath. It’s sold out in green but available in white and black…both great options!
11) Aqua Cashmere Camo Sweater
This gorgeous Aqua Cashmere camo print sweater has been a long-time favorite of mine and if you’re a subscriber, you probably remember it! I also have the same sweater in black and gray. The sweater is thin enough that you can tuck, half-tuck it, or leave it out. For a slightly roomier fit, order your traditional size (I’m wearing a small). If you want a more fitted look, size down. The exact sweater is currently sold out, but there is a hoodie version of it I’m adding to my cart!
All of the AQUA sweaters are so soft, luxe… and the price is AMAZING! They’re almost always on sale, which makes them super affordable for cashmere. They last a long time AND they wash and wear well. I wash mine in cold water with a gentle detergent in the gentle cycle and lay flat to dry. I love Aqua Cashmere sweaters so much that I now own quite a few…
12) Aqua Cashmere Star Sleeve Sweater
I bought this Aqua star sleeve sweater a few years ago and still wear it every fall! The stars along the arms just give it a fun detail that’s different and cool. You can wear this alone or throw a jacket on if you have to run an errand and it’s cold out. The exact sweater is sold out but I love the hoodie version and this sweater with hearts down the sleeves too!

Last week, my sister was helping her family buy some autumn and winter clothes and saw an affordable website. The seller is Chinese, worried about the quality of the clothes and the after-sales logistics. Please give me advice. thank you very much
Depends on which one and if it seems sketchy, it probably is. I don’t order from those anymore.
I love them all but I think the last one is my favorite.
Thanks, Lara!!
They are all really cute.
Aw, thanks, Jodie!! xoxo
hey erin – i love your posts and most importantly your ‘picks’ but everytime i use the links to review/purchase the item, i find that it is sold out and even if it isn’t sold out, it generally will only be available in one size, usually xs or xxs. Just thought you should know. Thanks for all you do. Jan
I appreciate the information, Jan! Wish I had more control on the quantity. It’s an issue… especially with the more affordable retailers. The stock runs out so quickly.
