What I Wore to the Dior Fashion Show
If you missed yesterday’s blog post where I detailed my whole experience staying in the exclusive La Suite Dior and attending the Dior Fashion Show, make sure you check out that post next. That post was all about the trip details, experience, my thoughts on the show, etc.… but this post is all about the fashion! More specifically, about what I wore to the Dior Fashion Show…
While we stayed in La Suite Dior, we had stylists help us pick out outfits for the show and the after-party. The stylists were included in the experience…but the clothes were not. I know, bummer! But when in…Paris, right?! 😉 I purchased two outfits that I LOVE. Since some of these pieces are newer styles, they aren’t available on Dior’s site yet, but I’ll link them as soon as I can. Additionally, since some of these pieces are pretty pricey, I’m also sharing some look-a-like options so you can recreate the look without the designer price tag.
If you’re interested in reading more about my La Suite Dior experience, you can read that here.

Dior Fashion Show 2023 Outfit
While the stylists were in La Suite Dior with my friend Marta and I, they had a bunch of outfits for us to try on…you can see some of my favorites in this post. I tried on quite a few I loved but didn’t feel like any of them were calling to me or felt like my true style…until I tried on this dress! It felt like the perfect combination of edgy elegance. I loved the flattering fit and flare silhouette and the sexy straps at the bust. The dress itself is very classic Dior…but very me.
I wasn’t planning to buy a jacket or coat but then I tried on this cape and knew I had to have it. It drapes beautifully and adds so much drama to the look. It has what’s called a Brandenburg closure in the front but I loved wearing it open. The details on the front and along the arm openings add texture and a little more interest to the all-black look. I style this cape with a few other more casual outfits you’ll see in other planned posts so stay tuned!
Adding the Dior belt completely elevated the look and I love how it really cinches the waist even more. The belt has really chic hardware and utility-style details I love…also adding to the edginess of the look.
These shoes are SO cool! I love everything about these fashion-forward shoes…the architectural heel, reimagined Mary Jane style, and comfortable platform are all such chic details that make these very special.
Finally, I had to complete my Dior look with a chic little Dior handbag! This is the Mini Lady Dior Bag. I love the signature Dior quilting, sleek and sophisticated design, and minimal hardware. It also has a removable chain strap so you can carry it as a shoulder, crossbody, or top-handle bag.

Dior Fashion Show 2023 Outfit For Less
As promised, I wanted to share some look-a-like items at a more affordable price point in case you want to recreate the look. Even if this is a very special occasion and outfit, you can still make modifications for whatever you might have coming up. You could wear a black midi dress with a blazer instead of a cape, classic pumps instead of Mary Janes, or ditch the belt if it’s not your style. The key is to make it all your own!
This black midi dress is one that our amazing Team Busbee editor recently bought and loves. And it has a lot of the same details as the Dior dress…fit and flare silhouette, interesting straps at the top, and midi length it’s a super chic classic option. The Tuckernuck cape has interesting gold button details that elevate and add texture in a different but similar way that the Dior cape does. The handbag is a top-handle bag by Anine Bing so it’s still a higher-priced bag, but SO high-quality and classic. I linked a few other handbag options below too. The shoes are by Madewell and have the same double strap detail as the Dior shoes. And the belt will give you that same cinched waist with edgy belted hardware.

Dior After Party Outfit
Next is this super chic after-party outfit…another complete, head-to-toe Dior look. I tried on quite a few outfits and this one felt the most like me. It feels very edgy but elegant. I’m wearing a beautiful delicate, gold crocheted top and a cool leather skort. The sweater is this really delicate, almost cobweb-like crocheted material that’s super lightweight and breathable. The skort has a super flattering A-line silhouette and classic gold Dior hardware.
I added a lace maxi skirt over the skort because I loved the flowy movement and drama of it…like I always say, I like drama in my clothes, not my life! 😉 I completed the look with the same bag, shoes, and belt to elevate the look even more. I also added a pair of tights to cover my legs and because it was so cold. But I’d definitely wear this skort without the tights too.

Dior After Party Outfit For Less
Next up is the look-a-like option for the chic after-party outfit! Instead of a gold crochet top, try a classic camel sweater to get the same look. The look-a-like skort I chose is by Derek Lam (another one of my favorite designers), has a flattering A-line fit, and subtle gold hardware. It’s a little pricier, but nothing like the Dior price. Plus, I linked some more options below that are more affordable. Over the skort, try this gorgeous tulle skirt that gives you that same dramatic feel. Finish off the look with the same accessories and voila…you’re ready for your next party!
Which of these looks is your favorite…Fashion show or after party? Are you going to try to recreate either of them? Please share in the comments below!
