Gifts for Her
Who else gets Holiday Season Affective Disorder? Let’s call it HSAD for short. I just made that up, but make no mistake HSAD is a REAL thing. You know what I’m talking about. On top of your already huge daily TO DO’s … you add decorating, gift shopping, wrapping, entertaining, etc. I love the holidays, but it’s a stressful time of year… and there is no light therapy that will fix it. 😉
SOOOO… my plan comes down to one word this year: simplicity. I am going to keep everything, including my holiday shopping, very simple. I am hoping I can help you do the same so you don’t suffer from this joy-stealing disorder that only ends in expletives and too much Egg Nog.
Here are 5 affordable holiday gift ideas from JCPenney that are easy and won’t break the bank.

#1 | Throw Blanket
This snuggly “Feathersoft” throw blanket is SUCH an awesome gift! I can see giving this to everyone on your list, from your kiddos (any age) to your friends!

#2 | Slippers
Have you ever tried on a pair of Muk Luks?? If you haven’t, you have no idea what you are missing! It’s like walking around in the warmest, fuzziest clouds. Feet heaven!! And, the “Raquel” Bootie Slippers are SO stinkin’ cute too!! They have a real sole too… so if you need to pop outside for any reason… no problem!

#3 | Neck Warmer
This cowl or neck warmer by Mixit is SOOOOO good. Firstly, it looks and feels incredibly luxe. It is really warm and the inside of the cowl is furry so it feels wonderful against your neck and face. I know sometimes scarves are so challenging because you feel like you have to ‘style‘ them. I highly recommend getting a scarf like this that you don’t have to think about… for those days you can’t deal…and just need to grab and go! Maybe this is a gift for YOU?

#4 | Candles
I love when you find a gift that already comes in the CUTEST packaging so you don’t have to do anything!! This Feya Holiday Cheer soy candle will help! The smell is lovely and subtle.

#5 | Pajamas
This pajama set by North Pole Trading Co is adorable and festive in a subtle way. The soothing gray and white color combination feels more neutral and less bold than traditional holiday pajamas. The bottoms run a bit short so if you are taller, these probably won’t work. These would be an awesome gift for the petite ladies in your life. I feel like jammies are one of those gifts we all love getting because we never buy them for ourselves. At least I don’t.
As I started shooting pictures, it started snowing so, of course, I HAD to go outside!

I love your blog, and the fact that you do not give advice about fashion and direct people only to nordstrom you also have jcpennys which I love and other fabulous retailers.
HOw do you stay so slim, I have an office job so weight gain in my mid section is horrible HAHA
Happy and Merry CHRISTMAS to you and your family.
It’s a constant struggle especially now with hormonal and thyroid issues. Make sure you are regulating hormones and thyroid to start and also exercise! I trained and ran a 17-mile race and then the NYC marathon in November. That will keep you slim! xoxo
