Two Outfits to Recreate With a Long Cardigan or Duster
I love a long or duster cardigan. It helps create the illusion of a longer, leaner body. Since I’m petite at 5’4″ I will wear these long sweaters all day long because they actually make me look taller. Add heels or heeled booties and you can add even more height! (For more ideas on how to look taller and slimmer, make sure you watch this video and this video.) I found a stylish and super affordable long cardigan… that’s perfect for fall! You guys are going to LOVE this one! Guaranteed. If you saw me strutting down the street in either of these looks, you would NEVER think this head-to-toe look is from Walmart. Making affordable pieces look higher end is one of my all-time favorite things to do. It’s my styling superpower! To give you some outfit ideas, I styled it 2 ways below.

Long Cardigan Look #1
This long cardigan is by Time & Tru and comes in multiple colors. I love the ribbed texture and button front. You can wear it open like I am or button it up. It also has a tie waist. I’m 5’4” and it hits below my knee. So it’ll hit higher on all of you who are taller, but will still give that long duster cardigan look!
Under the cardigan, I’m wearing a super cool hoodie by No Boundaries. It has a twist front detail that super flattering. I love the hood. And the stripes down the sleeves give it that sporty feel.
Next, I’m wearing some leggings by Time & Tru. The cool thing about these leggings is that they’re actually jeggings! They have the comfort of leggings and the look of jeans! They’re high-rise, have a functional button, and back pockets. They’re really soft, comfortable, and easy to style!
Finally, I’m wearing snake-embossed high heel booties. I LOVE these booties! I featured them in this post with a dress and blazer. They’re ONLY $39!

Long Cardigan Look #2
For the second look, I’m wearing the same long cardigan with a sweater and jeans! These exact jeans are only available in-store, but I linked some very similar edgy ones Levi’s. You can easily swap these, though, for jeans that are more classic if you don’t like the rips. I’m wearing a simple off-white sweater under the cardigan. To finish the look and add some edge, I’m wearing the same snake-embossed booties. A quick note about the jewelry in these looks…they are by Time & Tru and in-store only. So I linked some similar options. But these are worth looking at when you pop into Walmart for groceries or Halloween candy.
