Mother’s Day Outfit Ideas

#1) Farm Rio Blue Printed Mini Dress

First up is this chic blue printed Farm Rio mini dress. Farm Rio is a brand that’s really blown up in popularity over the past two years and we’re totally on board…they make gorgeous, sustainable pieces in fun and exciting prints. This dress is a beautiful blue and white print that’s perfect for spring and summer. It has long sleeves but because it’s 100% cotton you don’t have to worry about being too hot. It’s so light, airy, and breathable. The length is great on Erin at 5’4” but might be a little short for anyone 5’8”+.

Erin styled it with a pair of platform espadrilles and a woven tote by Loewe. She threw a white Veronica Beard blazer over the dress to add some sophistication and polish to the look but you can certainly wear it without. This dress is perfect for Mother’s Day brunch, church, shopping, etc. But you can easily wear this to other events this summer like graduations, parties, and more.

Mother’s Day outfit ideas: woman wearing Farm Rio Green Printed Midi Dress

#2) Farm Rio Green Printed Midi Dress

If you’re spending Mother’s Day on vacation…lucky you! This green contrasting printed Farm Rio dress would be a wonderful option. Even if you’re not on vacation, you can throw this on for church, brunch, or dinner and add a chic blazer or denim jacket. This dress has a flattering sweetheart neckline, molded cups, and adjustable straps. If you are very large busted, the top does run on the smaller side, so you’ll want to keep that in mind. The straps are fabric bubbles, which is such a fun and unexpected detail we love. It’s more of a maxi length on Erin at 5’4” since the hem comes right to her ankles. She opted for the same platform espadrilles, but she could easily wear sneakers or flat sandals to dress it down too.

Mother's Day Outfit Ideas: woman wearing: Me+Em One-Shoulder Maxi Dress

#3) Me+Em One-Shoulder Maxi Dress

We recently featured this chic black one-shoulder dress by ME+EM in this post and said it would be the dress you would wear again and again this summer. You can wear this on a beach vacation by the pool, out to dinner, to any party, and even running errands with sneakers or flats…it’s that versatile. And…you could even wear it for Mother’s Day!

We love that the one-shoulder neckline adds a dash of sexy and modernity to the dress. It has a smocked bodice that feels very secure, and depending on your comfort level and size of your bust, you can wear it with or without a strapless bra. The skirt of the dress is a gauzy cotton that’s breathable and lightweight (perfect for those hot summer days). It’s lined so you don’t have to worry about the see-through factor either. Oh, and it has pockets! Style this with some chic sandals for brunch or dinner, or throw on sneakers for a Mother’s Day of shopping or hanging out with family.

Mother's Day Outfit Ideas: woman wearing Farm Rio Printed Romper

#4) Farm Rio Printed Romper

For a fun and fuss-free Mother’s Day look, this Farm Rio romper is your go-to. A romper is a one-and-done piece that’s so simple…all you have to do is add a bag, shoes, and jewelry! This romper is perfect for Mother’s Day gatherings but also works for any summer activities like BBQs, graduations, parties, etc. It’s 100% cotton and has a button front, band collar, a self-tie belt for waist definition, and pleated puff shoulders. The inseam is about 4″ and the leg opening is roomy with a super flattering cut. You can pair it with wedges like Erin’s wearing above for dinner or throw on your sneakers or sandals for lunch or shopping.

Mother's Day Outfit Ideas: woman wearing Farm Rio Printed Skirt & Black Top

#5) Farm Rio Printed Skirt & Black Top

We love how equally sophisticated and playful this look is for Mother’s Day. Erin’s wearing a striped midi skirt with a black flutter-sleeve top. This skirt has both vertical and horizontal stripes that are perfectly placed for the ultimate flattering look. Erin styled it with a black English Factory top with a fun flutter sleeve that’s easy to style with everything from skirts to denim. It keeps going in and out of stock so grab it if you see it in your size! She completed the look with some cute platforms and gold jewelry. Wear this look to Mother’s Day brunch, church, or dinner. Swap in your favorite sneakers or flat sandals if you want to dress it down.

woman wearing Green Tweed Jacket & Jeans

#6) Green Tweed Jacket & Jeans

If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day outfit with jeans that still feels exciting and elevated, this look is for you. Erin’s wearing a gorgeous green tweed jacket by Aqua. She loves the cropped fit, beautiful color and print, luxe gold buttons, and wonderful price point. This jacket could definitely be dressed up or even worn for work, but Erin wanted to make it more casual by styling it with a basic white tee and a pair of classic straight-leg jeans. On her feet, she’s wearing a pair of chic strappy Malone Souliers pumps that would be such a fun addition to any wardrobe. But if your Mother’s Day activities require something more casual, swap the pumps for sneakers or flats instead. This look would be perfect for a simple family get-together or brunch on Mother’s Day!

woman wearing Amanda Uprichard Red Off-Shoulder Midi Dress

#7) Amanda Uprichard Red Off-Shoulder Midi Dress

Maybe your Mother’s Day wish was a night out with your spouse or doing something fancy? Well, this gorgeous red Amanda Uprichard dress is what you need! We love the bright, bold, and on-trend color. The off-the-shoulder neckline is really beautiful and we love the way the material drapes on the bust and sleeves. The slit on the side adds just the right amount of sexy and the midi length is perfect. You could wear this for your fancy night out, to a wedding, or any event you need to get a little dressed up for this summer. Erin styled it with platform espadrilles but you could wear strappy heels, block heels, pumps, or whatever you prefer.

woman wearing Wayf Red Printed Dress

#8) Wayf Red Printed Dress

If you loved the color of the last dress but want something slightly less sexy and dressy, this printed Wayf dress is a great option. We love the pretty red rose print and flattering silhouette. The skirt is slightly flared, body skimming, and very flattering and forgiving. You could wear this dress for Mother’s Day church with a blazer over your shoulders, brunch, weddings, showers, etc. Style it with platforms like Erin did or throw on some flat sandals to dress it down a bit. By the way, this dress keeps going in and out of stock so if you love it, grab it if you see your size!

woman wearing Staud Green Printed Midi Dress

#9) Staud Green Printed Midi Dress

How gorgeous is this green printed Staud dress?! It just screams summer, doesn’t it? But it would be perfect for Mother’s Day too. It’s so elegant, fun, and chic. The color and print are perfect for spring and summer, and the fit-and-flare silhouette is incredibly flattering. Erin loves that the straps are a bit thicker for additional comfort and support. It’s also very versatile… you could easily wear this to Mother’s Day brunch, weddings, graduations, showers, etc. If you’re worried about showing too much skin up top, you could throw a blazer, jacket, or wrap around your shoulders.

woman wearing Splendid Ivory Jumpsuit

#10) Splendid Ivory Jumpsuit

This is an ideal look for any casual Mother’s Day gatherings where you want to be comfortable but still feel polished and chic. Erin’s wearing a jumpsuit by Splendid that has the softest and most lightweight cotton-blend fabric. We love the tie at the waist for some added definition. It has a front zip so you can wear it more, or less zipped up depending on your comfort level. The length (28” inseam) is perfect on, Erin, and she has on a pair of cute heeled mules. But you could easily wear this jumpsuit with sneakers, sandals, or heels to dress it up or down. Use code BUSBEESP24 for 20% off!
