During this time of uncertainty, I want to make sure I’m providing helpful, and affordable style inspiration for you. I know many of us are struggling financially right now. Personally, my business is down more than 50% in revenue. It’s scary, but I’m hopeful our economy will bounce back. In the meantime, I really wanted to share some style staples that won’t break the bank. All of these are from Walmart and all of them are under $50!!
If you want to see these pieces in motion be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to watch my short video.
Before I dive into my affordable finds, I wanted to reiterate the importance of your wardrobe basics. Like your home, your wardrobe needs a solid foundation. Without it, your wardrobe just won’t work. You need those basics to pair with all of the bold colors and prints.

#1 | White Blouse
A white top is a definite must-have for spring/summer. Well, year-round, frankly. (You should also have a basic button-down.) I like to pick up several white tops since I wear them so often and I usually vary the styles. I make sure I have at least one that I can wear with a regular bra and then I opt for more of a sexy standout like this white blouse is by Scoop. (If you missed my post about the Scoop brand, you can find more here.) I love the brand so much, all of the pieces I’m wearing in this post are by Scoop! This white top is PERFECT for spring and summer! I love the big bell sleeves. They give the basic top some added flair and drama. I always say I love drama with my clothes…NOT my life! 😉 Another great thing about this top is that you have the option to wear it on or off the shoulders. And it is very lightweight so it tucks into jeans really easily!

#2 | White Jeans
I styled the white top with the BEST white jeans! They’re a cropped kick flare style and have a raw hem. White jeans are a must-have for spring/summer and I like that these are different from the basic white skinny jeans. These jeans are seriously so good…I couldn’t believe they were only $26! Note: I usually suggest sizing up one size in white jeans because white is traditionally less flattering/forgiving.

#3 | Light Jacket
Another basic on the spring/summer checklist is a lightweight jacket. This moto jacket is the perfect option! I featured this same jacket in white in this post. I liked it so much I bought it in navy too! It’s a faux leather moto jacket. The quality is superior to ANY other faux leather jacket I have purchased and believe me… I’ve seen and tried on a TON of them.
Oh and the best part? It’s only $40!! I know. It’s unreal, right?
Bonus | Blazer
If a moto jacket isn’t your style, this blazer is another option! I love the pinstriped pattern. It has a more oversized, longer fit, and cool, 3/4 ruched sleeves. One of my tips for looking taller and slimmer is to wear vertical stripes and this blazer does just that! (There are matching pants too for ONLY $22!)
You can watch my video on how to look slimmer here.
