2 Outfits that Will Make You Fall In Love with Corduroy Again!

…Great Alternative to Jeans

Corduroy disappeared for a LONG time… only to be seen among your college professors. Well, I’m excited to share that this super popular style from the ’70s (and briefly 90’s) is BACK!! You might remember seeing these fab corduroy pants in a recent video featuring the hot color trend, brown. The fit is not only comfortable, but it’s also incredibly flattering. These pants are also relatively affordable at under $100.  I’m sharing two ways to style these wide-leg corduroy pants in a sophisticated way below.

Option #1 | Monochromatic Look

Wearing wide leg pants or jeans is VERY flattering especially if you have curves. The wide leg actually balances out your curves. And, wearing all one color like I am in the look above, can make you look even taller and slimmer. Wearing a head-to-toe rust brown look is VERY unexpected and unique! I tucked my favorite cashmere sweater into the Blank NYC corduroy pants and layered a rust colored cardigan over.  This cardigan is so popular, it is continually one of the best sellers. I’ve featured it before in gray. It’s on SALE right now for ONLY $41! It’s a simple and fun way to add some of the trendy color, brown, to your wardrobe.

This gorgeous investment bag is by Chloe. It’s expensive so I linked some similar options below.

#2 | Turtleneck Sweater & Cords

If you don’t want to wear the full brown look, you can pair the corduroy pants with a neutral-colored sweater like the white turtleneck I’m wearing above. This sweater is by Brochu Walker, and it’s made out of a super high-quality cashmere, with a price to reflect that. But you can wear ANY white sweater you have in your closet. I linked some similar, less expensive options below.

I featured another gorgeous Brochu Walker sweater here. And, if you still have holiday shopping to do, don’t forget to shop all of my gift guides here. Don’t forget to subscribe to my exclusive newsletter here to get some FREEBIES. And, thank you for stopping by!
