Colorblock Knit Midi Dress
This Remain Birger Christensen color-blocked midi dress is the dress you never knew you needed…but DO need…AND will wear ALL the time! It’s super lightweight so you’ll stay cool even in warmer climates (or during hot flashes). It’s also thin enough to layer beautifully under blazers. I styled it with my Balmain blazer (below), which fits very tight to the body, with NO issue. The dress is incredibly flattering. The white part of the dress starts above the natural waist, so it creates the look of a shorter torso and tinier waist. While in contrast, the black section minimizes the tummy, hips, butt and thighs and creates the illusion of longer legs. The dress also has a universally flattering v-neckline. And, it’s wrinkle resistant. I told you it’s like the holy grail of dresses.
This is one of those super versatile dresses you can wear for pretty much any occasion with a few accessory changes. It’s great for events, dinner, or even the office. Considering versatility and quality…it’s a great price point too!
The dress alone is gorgeous and so chic. But if you want to take it up a notch and really bring on the sophistication, add a blazer. Adding a blazer is a great way to style this dress for the office. If you love and wear blazers all the time or work in a formal office, I cannot recommend the Balmain blazer enough. It’s a huge investment piece. I’ve owned mine for three years and have worn it all over the world. It is totally worth the money in my opinion. (I’m wearing a size 38. True to size but narrow in shoulders.)
If you’re a regular reader on our site, you probably recognize these FAB boots by Schutz. They are one of my favorite pairs of boots to pull out for fall and winter each year. They are very comfortable (for heels), easy to get on and off, and look great with jeans and dresses. I love them so much I own them in python print and white. They also come in a gorgeous camel color that’s perfect for fall.
To complete the look, I’m wearing a pair of gold hoops by Dean Davidson. I own a few pieces from the brand and love the quality of these wearable, but statement-making pieces. To add a bit more glam, throw on a pair of oversized sunglasses like the pair I’m wearing by Gucci.
