The Perfect Pants For Summer!
It’s hard to find a pair of pants you can wear during the summer that are flattering, casual… yet chic and sophisticated AND, keep you cool. But don’t worry…I’ve got you covered, literally. I found the perfect lightweight, pleated pair by MISA. You’ll wear these pants all. summer. long. And I’m showing you exactly how to style them.
Make sure you check out some super chic over 40 bloggers styling white pants & jeans here.
First I want to talk a little more about the pants. The wide leg is really having a moment right now. Wide leg pants and trousers are super on-trend and I’m here for it! If you missed my post about the best trends of 2021, make sure you read that here.
These pants are pleated, high rise, and super lightweight. The waistband is thicker so it’s flattering and amazing for anyone who wants to create the illusion of a waist. I’m a rectangle body shape, so that’s always a goal for me. If you don’t know your body shape, I have everything you need to know here.
The pants are also partially lined so you don’t have to worry about the see-through factor. I’d still wear skin tone undergarments though.
Now… how to style them.
1) With The Matching Blouse
This is my dream summer outfit! My whole body is covered but it’s still breathable and SO sophisticated that I feel confident, comfortable, and chic. This matching Misa blouse…is actually a bodysuit. It has a sexy plunging neckline, elastic ruffled cuffs, and just like the pants…it’s super lightweight. I’m wearing a simple lace cami underneath for more modest coverage. I completed the look with a pair of studded sandals, some gold jewelry, and a cute beaded bucket bag.
2) With A Tee
This second look is similar, but I love the varying white tones. I also like the mix of a textured fabric (pants) paired with the simple cotton tee. (Yes, I know it needs to be ironed. But, you all know how I feel about ironing.) I’m wearing a white shoulder pad tee that’s another HOT trend you can try. I think this tee is surprisingly versatile and great at building up your shoulders if you have narrow shoulders like me. I finished off the look with my Bottega Veneta bag, the same gold jewelry, and a pair of braided heels. But you could easily swap the shoes for the same pair of sandals in look #1 or a chic pair of espadrilles.
