4 Chic Winter White Outfits For Women Over 40

No matter what the season or occasion, I love to incorporate neutrals into my wardrobe. It’s so easy to get pulled into only wearing black and grays this time of the year. I always try to lighten things up with some winter neutrals. All of these picks are perfect to wear now and most of them will also easily transition into spring. I’m sharing 4 looks that go from casual to dressy and will work for anything you may have coming up!

#1) Loungewear

The first look is a simple loungewear look. I’m wearing my favorite wide-leg lounge pants with a cami and cardigan. This entire look is so soft and comfortable, I could actually sleep in it! I’d wear this around the house just hanging out. But I shared more about how to tweak this look if you need to quickly leave the house and want more coverage in this post.

#2) Jeans & Blazer

You may remember this look from this post. I’d wear this look walking around town, running errands, or picking up the kids. I’m wearing a pair of white cropped bootcut jeans. If you’re not a fan of the baggy jeans trend but want to try a pair of jeans that have a slightly looser fit, this is a great option! I’m wearing a basic white tee under my favorite Veronica Beard leather blazer. It’s mostly sold out but there are still a few sizes left, and I linked another classic white blazer option above. To finish off the look, I’m wearing super comfortable Gola sneakers, a gold and pearl statement necklace, and my white Bottega Veneta bag. I love these sneakers because they’re tan and black, so they go with pretty much everything. But the lighter tan really looks amazing with this all-white look!

#3) Wrap Dress

For a chic neutral dinner outfit, go with a stylish sweater dress. This one has really beautiful ruffle sleeve details and a silky ribbon closure. The wrap style is also very flattering on most body types. The ribbed fabric is super soft and since it’s a longer hemline, you have coverage and warmth! I styled the dress with off-white wedge booties to mix in a little edge. But if you wanted to dress it up, throw on a pair of heels instead. I threw my Sandro trench over my shoulders, but you could wear a camel coat if you needed more warmth.

#4) Tulle Skirt

If you’re heading out to a dressy dinner or party (or just because), try a neutral look like this one! In this look, I’m wearing a gorgeous, feminine tulle midi skirt. I love the length, the dramatic fabric and flow, and the ivory-cream color is beautiful. I picked up this exact tulle skirt in a boutique in Spain, but I linked a similar option that will give you that same statement-making look! To make it a little edgier I’m wearing the boots from Look #3 again. They’re such a beautiful off-white color, which makes them more feminine, but the overall chunkier style and silhouette is what makes them more masculine.
To keep the winter white look going, I half-tucked a basic white sweater. You can wear it on or off one shoulder for a touch of sexy. Then, I kept all of the jewelry very minimal with a gold cuff, ring, and pearl hoop earrings.
