Nordstrom Sale Outfits sweater and jeans Free People Sweater & Paige Straight-Leg Jeans

#1) Free People Sweater & Paige Straight-Leg Jeans

First up is a quintessential fall uniform! I’m wearing an ivory cable-knit sweater by Free People that will definitely sell out this year. It’s a great price point, has a nice, cropped fit, and it comes in a few colors. It’s super easy to wear with jeans for fall/winter.

I styled it with a pair of straight-leg jeans by Paige that have a wonderful fit, are a nice medium wash, and will pair perfectly with all of the other basics you already have in your closet. If baggy jeans aren’t your jam, a pair of straight-leg jeans like these is a great option that’s classic, but on-trend, and super flattering.

Over the jeans and sweater, I threw on a coat by BCBGMAXAZRIA. I love a coat with a little drama! Especially a wrap coat in this beautiful camel color. You can put the hood up or leave it down to get a wide lapel look. This will look beautiful over any outfit this fall/winter!

On my feet, I’m wearing a pair of cool suede Vince Camuto booties that have a western-inspired look. These have a manageable block heel and will look great with jeans, pants, skirts, and dresses this fall! If you don’t have a brown bootie in your closet already, these are a wonderful basic.

I completed the look with some minimal jewelry that you’ll see more of throughout this post, a gorgeous crossbody, and some sunnies. I saw this Coach bag and thought it looked so elegant and classic. It reminds me of the Chanel Boy Bag that I love. It’s definitely one of my favorites from the sale! The chain can be adjusted so you can wear it as a crossbody or shoulder bag. It is SO luxe. The color is beautiful and will go with everything.

By the way, there are so many cool designer sunglasses in the sale this year. I’m wearing a pair by Prada that are a great size and have a thick ivory detail on the size that’s just different and interesting. You’ll see a few different sunglasses throughout this post because there were just so many amazing options!

#2) Good American Cropped Jeans & AllSaints Leather Jacket

Next up is another classic fall outfit. A black leather jacket is a basic that every woman should have in her closet and AllSaints makes some of the best, high-quality, luxe-looking leather jackets. They usually have a few options in the sale each year, but I really love the classic look of this black jacket. This one has a great fit, minimal hardware, and now’s the time to get it majorly on sale! Underneath the jacket I’m wearing an ivory tank that’s not part of the NSale but I linked an option below. You can throw it over tees, tanks, tops, and sweaters for fall and winter. I typically size up one size in All Saints leather jackets.

On my bottom half, I have on a pair of cropped Good American jeans that are SO good and under $100! The 27” inseam is perfect on me, I love the 11” high rise, and the raw hem is a nice detail. The bootcut leg silhouette and dark wash are super flattering too! I have on a belt by Kurt Geiger London that’s unfortunately not part of the sale, but still very affordable. You could wear a black belt you probably already have in your closet too.

On my feet, I’m wearing a really cool pair of slingbacks by Steve Madden. They have edgy buckle details that contrast the daintier kitten heel style (2”). I love that the pointed toe is leg lengthening. They come in a few colors and are super affordable.

There are a few accessories I want to call out here. This scarf is a wonderful basic in a natural color palette that you’ll wear for years. AllSaints always has a few scarves in the sale and this one is my favorite this year. Next, I’m wearing a pair of oversized square Gucci sunglasses that are a great, glam pair of sunnies. My earrings are by AllSaints and I love the gold and silver combo, which is very on-trend right now. I completed the look with the same Coach bag from the last look, but in black…it’s such a gorgeous, versatile bag!

#3) Rails Chambray Button-Down Shirt & Paige Wide-Leg Jeans

There were quite a few western-inspired pieces in the sale this year including everything from tops to boots and beyond. I saw this western-inspired Rails button-down and was so excited to style it. It has pearl snaps, the perfect faded chambray wash, peaked yokes, and it’s really soft. I have it tucked into a pair of jeans, but you could style it with pants, a skirt, or over a cami or tank. I’m wearing it in an XS so I would say it has a roomy fit.

The wide-leg jeans I’m wearing are by Paige. The leg silhouette is very flattering, I love the high rise (11.5”), and the wash is perfect. They have a 31” inseam, which works perfectly with heels. But since they have a raw hem, you could easily cut them youself instead of having to get them hemmed. They run big, I sized down one size. I have them on with a tan suede belt by Rag & Bone that’s not part of the sale but still a great basic-with-a-twist.

On my feet, I’m wearing a pair of Vince wedges that I already own in another color but I’m really loving the dark tan color for fall. These wedges are super comfortable (for heels), easy to walk in, and very versatile. You’ll wear them fall and spring with pants, jeans, shorts, dresses, and skirts.

I completed the look with the same brown Coach handbag, a pair of reflective Ray-Ban sunglasses, and a Rag & Bone hat. This hat is packable (WIN!) and has a unique striped band I love!

Veronica Beard Blazer outfit

#4) Veronica Beard Blazer & Faux Leather Leggings

I am SO in love with this blazer…it’s what I like to call an outfit-maker! I love the color, the buttons, the faux leather, the shoulders, the tailored waist…it’s so feminine, sexy, sophisticated, and chic! It’s longer than a normal Veronica Beard blazer so you can get away with leggings, but you can also wear it with jeans, pants, or a skirt. If you see the blazer in your size and it’s in your budget, grab it before it sells out.

I dialed it up with the Spanx faux leather leggings and a pair of knee-high boots. But you could also make it more casual with a pair of jeans and sneakers. It’s so versatile! By the way, if you’re new to the sale, these Spanx faux leather leggings are a big seller every year and a great basic to have in your closet.

On my feet, I have on a pair of knee-high boots by Franco Sarto. They have a cool, on-trend western feel, nice room in the calf, a pointed toe, and are very comfortable. They also come in white and taupe suede.

I completed the look with the same black Coach bag, the oversized Gucci sunglasses from Outfit #2, Monica Vinader earrings, and a pre-layered Jenny Bird necklace. You’ll see this necklace in almost every look…it’s a high-quality everyday necklace at a great price point!

Reiss Wide-Leg Pants & Free People Sweater

#5) Reiss Wide-Leg Pants & Free People Sweater

Reiss is a brand I’ve been gravitating toward over the past year because of their incredibly chic, well-made, tailored pieces. I was so excited to see these Reiss pants during the preview and even more excited to try them on. They have a super flattering stripe down the side that’s elongating and slimming. They have a wide leg, which is also very flattering. And the high-rise (11.5”) is nice. They have a 31” inseam, which works for me with a pair of heels. But if I wanted to wear these with sneakers, I’d have to get them hemmed. You can style these with a blouse for dinner, a chunky sweater for a casual look, or a streamlined top and blazer for the office.

I styled them with a super oversized, chunky cable-knit sweater by Free People that I have a feeling will be a popular piece this year. I love the ivory color but it comes in a few other colors as well. The turtleneck isn’t too high and doesn’t highlight the chin too much, which I prefer. It’s not super heavy, so it would be great if you live in a mild or a cold climate like I do. But the oversized fit makes it super cuddly and cozy. I love it styled with the trousers, but you can also wear it with jeans or leggings this fall.

On my feet, I’m wearing a pair of peep-toe booties by Vince Camuto. They have a manageable heel (3.5”) and a cool buckle closure with an adjustable strap so you can get your perfect fit. These are a great fall bootie and also come in a pretty taupe color.

I would definitely wear this while traveling (swapped the booties for sneakers) for an effortlessly chic travel look. In the photo above, I’m featuring a carry-on suitcase from a new-to-me luggage brand, Monos. The quality seems really nice and it feels and looks durable and sleek. On top of the suitcase is a gorgeous, quilted tote bag by Kurt Geiger London. If you’re looking for an oversized tote that will travel well and looks nice, this is a wonderful option. It would also be perfect as a work tote!

Quick note on these sunglasses…these are another pair of Prada sunglasses that have a unique shape I love and are the perfect size.

Zella Hoodie & Activewear Trousers

#6) Zella Hoodie & Activewear Trousers

This a super cozy, cool travel outfit I was so excited to find in-store! I’m wearing a cropped Zella hoodie in the softest, lightweight, breathable fabric. But the most exciting part of this look is the activewear trousers…yes, you read that correctly! They look like regular trousers, but they are made of an activewear fabric that’s super lightweight, comfortable, and quick-dry. The pockets zip up, which is really nice for travel (or every day really!). And the wider-leg silhouette is very chic and flattering.

I styled the pants and hoodie with a pair of New Balance sneakers that WILL sell out. These sneakers sell out every time a new colorway is released, and they usually aren’t even on sale. So, if you see these in your size, grab them! I have them in a few colors and love them for running errands, kids’ lacrosse tournaments, travel, etc. I completed the look with a baseball cap, Coach bag, travel tote, suitcase, and a pair of glam round sunglasses by Dior.

Nordstrom Sale Outfits travel outfit

#7) Nike Pullover & Sweatpants

Nike isn’t typically one of the brands I go to when I’m looking for comfy and stylish loungewear or travel outfits, but I grabbed this sweatsuit because it just looked so chic and cozy. It was a surprise hit for me! The wide-leg sweatpants are so flattering, ridiculously high-rise, have really deep pockets, a wide-leg silhouette, and a cool split hem at the bottom. I’m wearing the matching waist-snatching sweatshirt that you can zip up or down. The fabric on both pieces is super cozy and SO soft. I styled the set with the same chic wrap coat by BCBGMAXAZRIA from Outfit #1, the new Balance sneakers, a baseball cap, and the Coach crossbody. This look would make the perfect travel outfit!

Sizing Note: The pants and sweatshirt both run big. Size down one size!

Open Edit Sweater & Matching Skirt

Sam Edelman kitten heels pre-layered necklace

#8) Open Edit Sweater & Matching Skirt

I cannot believe I missed this set during the preview, but I was so happy I found it in-store! It’s a ribbed knit skirt and matching sweater by Open Edit that’s SO chic. The fabric is thick in a good way because it adds some structure and heft, and makes you feel secure. It looks like a dress, but it’s separates, which makes these pieces so versatile. You can wear the sweater as a boat neck or off-the-shoulder, wear it with the matching skirt, or style it with jeans, pants, and skirts. The skirt has a slit on the side that adds a touch of modernity and sexiness I love. You could wear this look to the office with a pair of tights or out to dinner without.

I styled it with a pair of white kitten heels by Sam Edelman that are so comfortable and chic. If you don’t love heels, a kitten heel like this is a wonderful option and they come in multiple colors. I completed the look with a white handbag, Dior round sunnies, and minimal jewelry. This pre-layered necklace is the same one I mentioned in Outfit #4 and I’ve worn it in almost all of these outfits. It’s THAT good!

Zoe & Claire Midi Sweater Dress

#9) Zoe & Claire Midi Sweater Dress

Next up is this super chic and sophisticated sweater dress by Zoe & Claire. It has a very Chanel-esque look. I love the midi length, black and white color combo, and luxe-looking gold buttons. You can button it all the way up like I did or leave a few of the buttons open depending on the look you’re going for. This dress also comes in a white version. I styled it with the same white kitten heels from the previous look, some Prada sunglasses, and Jenny Bird earrings. These earrings have a small drop pearl that’s so pretty and elegant.

Steve Madden Maxi Sweater Dress

#10) Steve Madden Maxi Sweater Dress

This last dress by Steve Madden is only $60!! It’s a lightweight sweater dress in a longer maxi length that I love. It’s not the most high-quality sweater material but it’s a wonderful budget buy if you’re looking for a chic and sleek sweater dress for fall. This dress is a blank canvas and so versatile…you can style it with anything, dress it up or down! I styled it with the edgy slingbacks from Outfit #2 and love the simple but elevated look.

Good American Denim Jumpsuit

Good American Denim Jumpsuit | Nordstrom Sale Outfits Good American Denim Jumpsuit | Nordstrom Sale Outfits

black Coach bag

#11) Good American Denim Jumpsuit

This is definitely a wildcard, but if you’re looking for a fabulously cool jumpsuit, this one by Good American is awesome! It gives a very 70’s vibe and I love the fit (it does run small, size up one size!). It has a zip front, flattering belted waist detail, utilitarian details, and the perfect medium wash.

You could make it even more Western with an even more Western-inspired bootie. OR you could make it more feminine with a dainty heel. I chose a pair of sock booties by Dolce Vita that will be a heavy hitter in your wardrobe with fall and winter. The great thing about sock booties is that you can wear them with EVERY jean or pant leg silhouette, and with dresses and skirts. Plus, they also look great with tights. I completed the look with the black Coach bag, oversized Gucci sunglasses, the Jenny Bird necklace, and Monica Vinader earrings.

Sam Edelman Coat & Cinq a Sept Jeans

#12) Sam Edelman Coat & Cinq a Sept Jeans

There weren’t a ton of coats in the store I visited but there were a few I wanted to share. First up is this faux shearling coat by Sam Edelman. It’s such a sweet, pretty, feminine piece and I love the color (also comes in black). Plus, it’s super cozy! This would work for fall and winter (just add more layers).

I paired it with a black mixed media tee by Veronica Beard that’s a lovely basic with a twist if you don’t already have a long-sleeved black tee. On my bottom half, I’m wearing ankle-length Cinq a Sept jeans. I really love these jeans because of the flattering dark wash, strategically slimming stitching that makes your legs look longer, and they are SO lightweight so they are a great wear now, wear later option.

On my feet, I’m wearing the same Dolce Vita sock booties that work perfectly with the jeans. I completely the look with the black Coach bag, Dior sunglasses, Jenny Bird pearl earrings, and pre-layered necklace.

Avec les Filles Trench Coat

#13) Avec les Filles Trench Coat

In this look, I’m wearing the same outfit as the previous look but swapped the coat for this cool Avec Les Filles trench coat. It’s water-resistant, which is obviously important for a trench, but not all trenches are actually water-resistant…crazy, right?! It’s pretty long on me but I love the length and that the silhouette is feminine and dress-like. The color is a pretty olive green that’s nice for my skin tone. It’s a cooler olive green tone that doesn’t have any yellow in it, which is exactly what works for me. You may not think olive green is a neutral but it’s actually very neutral and versatile. This trench is super practical, chic, and sophisticated!

I finished off the look with the quilted tote by Kurt Geiger London from Outfit #5 and an oversized felt hat by Nordstrom. This hat is definitely dramatic and not as wearable for everyday, but it’s still so fabulous and a fun option.

Veronica Beard Blue Corduroy Blazer & Matching Pants Veronica Beard Matching Corduroy Blazer & Pants

#14) Veronica Beard Blue Corduroy Blazer & Matching Pants

This outfit is another wildcard and I have absolutely nowhere to wear it, but it was so pretty in person that I had to try it on! I’m wearing a matching corduroy blazer and pants by Veronica Beard in the most gorgeous cobalt blue color. I love the corduroy fabric because it’s just so different and unexpected. The blazer fit is amazing. Veronica Beard pants usually have a very long inseam that doesn’t work on me and these are no exception. They have a 34” inseam, which is great for tall women but I would either have to get these hemmed or wear an extremely tall heel. But I would totally buy this blazer and style it with a dress, skirt, pants, or jeans!

#15) Open Edit Sweater & AG Flare Jeans

Remember this ribbed sweater from Outfit #8? I love the Dolman style, ribbed fabric, and versatility. I decided to style it with a pair of flared jeans by AG to show you just how easy it is to style it with other pieces in your closet. I love that it has a looser fit around the arms and bust, but it’s fitted at the waist to create some definition. This is a great top for women with big busts. The jeans I’m wearing are a super elongating flared leg, flattering high-rise, and are a perfect medium wash. They have a 31.5” inseam so I have to wear heels with them, but I really love how slimming they are!

#16) Splendid Twist Front Sweater & AG Flare Jeans

In this look, I’m wearing the same AG jeans with a sexy twist-front sweater by Splendid. It’s a little bit low-cut, but not at all scandalous. The V-neck is actually very flattering (for all body shapes!). You could also wear a cami or bralette underneath if that would be more comfortable for you. I love that it’s fitted through the waist and cropped, making it perfect with high-waist jeans, pants, skirts, or trousers. No tucking needed!

On my feet, I have on a pair of chic white block heel booties by Marc Fisher. They have a super manageable 2.5” heel, the block heel is super easy to walk in, and they’re comfy. They also come in black and a dark red color.

#17) Vince Alpaca Sweater & AG Flare Jeans

Next, I styled the same AG jeans with a gorgeous ivory alpaca sweater by Vince. It’s very soft but it’s just a little itchy on the arms so if that’s something you’re sensitive to, you might want to skip this one. I really like the fit…online it looks more oversized but it’s much more body-skimming. I love the color for lightening up a fall/winter wardrobe but it also comes in gray.

I have on the same AG jeans and white Marc Fisher booties. But I threw on a lovely camel scarf by Vince that would be so pretty with a chic wrap coat this winter. It’s cashmere so it’s very soft and will keep you warm.

#18) CeCe Tie-Neck Blouse & AG Jeans

I saw this blouse during the preview and was so excited to try it and…I really love it! It’s very lightweight, a little sheer, has contrasting black and white, and a tie-neck. It’s a very elegant, sophisticated, ladylike top. It would be perfect for the office, but you can wear it to dinner too. Since it’s a little sheer, you can wear a black cami or black bra underneath. I’m wearing a different pair of Gucci glasses with this look that have a unique rounded lens and iconic green and red details on the sides.

#19) Bernardo Faux Fur Jacket & Good American Cropped Jeans

I’m shocked at how real this faux fur jacket by Bernardo looks! It’s so beautiful and the prettiest gray color. I love the chevron pattern and longer length too. And during the sale, it’s only $150…but looks like it’s WAY more expensive!

I have on the same Good American cropped jeans I featured in Outfit #2 and a pair of Veronica Beard pointed-toe stiletto booties. I have these in brown and decided to grab them in black too. They’re such a good wardrobe basic to have in your closet and will go with everything from jeans and trousers to skirts and dresses. Sizing note: they do run narrow so if you have wider feet, these aren’t for you.

#20) Farm Rio Floral Dress

Farm Rio has the most beautiful prints and this one is no exception! We love the vibrant blue that looks SO good on Denise. It’s a wrap-style, which is super flattering on all body shapes. It has balloon sleeves, a flattering v-neck, and is a great mini length. Denise styled it with a pair of sleek knee-high boots by Paige that are a great wardrobe basic!

By the way, we have a few more of Erin’s outfits at the end of the post…

#21) Frame Black Midi Dress

This Frame dress has some really cool gathered seam details, is A-line, and a midi length. The flow of the fabric and where the seams hit on the body is SO flattering. This is an unexpected, but classic little black dress. Denise styled it with the same Vince wedges Erin shared in previous looks. She owns them in tan and black because they’re SO good and a great transition shoe for spring and fall.

#22) Nordstrom Pleated Mini Dress

Next up is another gorgeous little black dress by Nordstrom. It has the prettiest pleats that are even prettier in person. The way the fabric drapes and flows is just perfection. The top is more of a sweater-like fabric that’s really soft, stretchy, and comfortable. The fit and silhouette of this dress is so flattering. Denise has the dress on with the same sleek knee-high boots by Paige in look #20.

#23) Ciebon Black Shirtdress

This last dress by Ciebon is so chic and only $100! The black keeps going in and out of stock but it also comes in a pretty tan color. It has cool contrasting stitching that’s a chic, interesting design detail. The shirtdress style makes it feel more casual, but you can easily dress this up or down. The tie-waist is great for adding some definition. And the capped sleeves are nice for those of you who don’t like to show your arms but don’t want to be hot. Denise styled it with the same Vince wedges.

Sizing note: The dress runs small. Denise said “I’m in a medium but it “just fits” and I’m usually a very comfortable medium. I don’t need to go up a size, but I don’t have extra room. It’s very loose and flowy on bottom but the waist is narrow.”

#24) Frame Cropped Bootcut Jeans & Veronica Beard Tweed Blazer

Denise got a few gorgeous blazers and jackets during the sale…including this Veronica beard tweed blazer! The tan color is so pretty and would be a wonderful basic for fall. Underneath the blazer, she’s wearing a classic ribbed tank by 1.State that’s only $50 during the sale…a great budget basic! It also comes in a pretty cream color (Denise ordered both colors).

On her bottom half, she’s wearing a pair of cropped mini bootcut jeans by Frame that have a cool asymmetrical raw hem. These are a great pair of faded black jeans if you already have black jeans checked off.

By the way, her earrings are a pair of classic silver hoops by Monica Vinader. They’re super high-quality and will go with everything, making them the perfect everyday earrings!

Sizing note on the blazer…It runs a little big. Denise said “I like an 8 in blazers. This is a 6 and is perfect.”

#25) Veronica Beard Faux Leather Blazer & Frame Cropped Bootcut Jeans

Remember this faux leather blazer Erin styled in Outfit #4? Well, Denise snagged it too, and styled it with a pair of jeans. See how wearable and versatile it is?! She has it on with the same Frame jeans and 1.State tank. On her feet, she’s wearing a pair of classic black booties by Blondo that are super comfy, come in multiple colors, and they’re waterproof! Plus, they’re a really great price point considering the quality and style.

#26) Cinq a Sept Tweed Blazer & Frame Cropped Bootcut Jeans

This next blazer is another specialty piece and is so chic. Denise is wearing a black and white plaid tweed blazer by Cinq a Sept that really is a standout piece, but also very versatile! The black and white color combo is super sophisticated but the pattern and fit make it more wearable. It has ruched sleeves so you don’t have to worry about pushing your sleeves up (and keeping them up). She has it on with the same jeans and ribbed tank.

#27) Paige Blouse & Frame Cropped Bootcut Jeans

Denise got a few pretty tops in her NSale haul and first up is this pretty Paige blouse. It’s 100% silk, making it super lightweight and breathable, the pattern and colors are perfect for fall, and the v-neck and body-skimming fit are very flattering. She front tucked it into her Frame jeans for an easy fall look she’ll wear on repeat.

#28) Frame Silky Blouse & Frame Cropped Bootcut Jeans

We featured this Frame blouse in our Fall Capsule Wardrobe and it’s been a big seller so far. It’s the prettiest burgundy/plum color that’s called “Dragon Fruit”. This is one of those tops you can easily wear now and later. We love the puff shoulders, silky fabric, and body-skimming fit. Denise styled it with the same Frame jeans the black Vince wedges.

#29) Rag & Bone Tweed Blazer & Cinq a Sept Jeans

Before we dive into more tops and blouse, we wanted to show you another pair of jeans Denise snagged. Erin styled these jeans in Outfit #12 with a coat and booties. Denise is wearing these flattering jeans with a chic Rag & Bone tweed jacket, ribbed tank, and black Vince wedges. This jacket by the way is a great alternative if blazers aren’t your style! It has a great fit in a classic, versatile, neutral color palette.

Sizing on the jeans: They run TTS but…if you’re between sizes, size down.

#30) Veronica Beard Tweed Blazer & Cinq a Sept Jeans

We wanted to show you one more way to style the Cinq a Sept jeans so here it is styled with the Veronica Beard blazer from Outfit #24, the ribbed tank, and Vince wedges! This would be a great look for dinner or a casual Friday at the office.

#31) Treasure & Bond Crochet Sweater Vest & Mother Jeans

Now back to tops and sweaters! In this look, Denise is wearing a chic crochet sleeveless sweater by Treasure & Bond. This is a lovely wear now, wear later piece and SO versatile. Plus, it’s great for layering during the fall. Denise has it styled with a classic pair of Mother jeans that multiple Team Busbee members own in different washes. They are super flattering! The denim is high-quality and makes you feel secure, but also very comfortable! She completed the look with the tan Vince wedges.

#32) Farm Rio Printed Top & Mother Jeans

This is another gorgeous, printed piece by Farm Rio. This top has billowy sleeves, a body-skimming fit, and a really beautiful fall-ready colors throughout the print. Style this with jeans, pants, skirts, and shorts…it’s very versatile! Denise has it on with the Mother jeans and Vince wedges.

#33) Free People Sweater & Mother Jeans

Remember this Free People sweater from Outfit #1?? Erin styled it with a pair of straight-leg jeans and booties. But Denise styled it with the Mother jeans and wedges. Denise said the sweater ran a little big on her.  She’s wearing her regular size medium in the photo above and said she’s going to get it in the small instead.

#34) Nordstrom Pajamas

Denise shared that she put on these pajamas and was shocked at just how amazing and soft they are. If you’re in the market for a new pair of PJs, these are a great buy!

#35) Zella Jumpsuit

If you like working out in a jumpsuit, this one by Zella is great! I love the dark plum color. but it also comes in black. It’s a really nice fit, and I feel secure and held in. I really like the baby bootcut leg and it’s a nice length on me. I wear ankle weights when I work out so that extra fabric around the ankle is nice and will make it more comfortable!

Sizing note: Zella activewear usually runs a little large. If you’re between sizes, size down.

#36) Ralph Lauren Trench Coat

This Ralph Lauren trench is SO lovely…even more so in person. I really love the contrasting brown piping details that are so elegant and unique. It’s a really classic, timeless style, it’s water-resistant, and it has a flattering belted waist. I love the fit in the shoulders and it’s the perfect knee-length on me.

#37) Wayf Faux Leather Skirt & Rag & Bone Tweed Blazer

How cute is this outfit Denise put together?! She’s wearing a gorgeous faux leather pleated mini skirt by Wayf that’s so chic. It’s a mini skirt but a really great length on Denise. Plus, it has pockets! She has on a black Hermes belt, but you could add your favorite black belt you already have in your closet. On her top half, She’s wearing the same 1.State tank and Rag & Bone tweed blazer from previous outfits. On her feet, she’s wearing knee-high boots by Paige (also come in cognac).

#38) Spanx Shorts & Pullover Set

Need a comfy casual outfit for lounging at home or running errands? This pullover and shorts set by Spanx is a great option. It comes in their amazing AirEssentials fabic that incredibly breathable and lightweight! On her feet, Denise is wearing a pair of On sneakers that are super comfy!

#39) Theory Cropped Jacket & Mother Jeans

Here’s another gorgeous jacket Denise just got in and wanted to share. It’s a beautiful camel cropped jacket by Theory that’s a wonderful, high-quality basic to have in your closet. Wear it into fall, spring, and even summer. She has it styled with the same Open Edit ribbed tank in ivory, Mother jeans, and the tan Vince wedges.

#40) Rails Chambray Shirt & Frame Cropped Bootcut Jeans

Remember this Rails chambray shirt from one of Erin’s previous looks? Denise styled it over the ivory Open Edit tank with a pair of faded black bootcut jeans by Frame. She completed the look with the Vince wedges in black.

#41) Open Edit Sleeveless Sweater & Good American Cropped Jeans

This Open Edit sweater is so chic and flattering! Plus, it’s incredibly affordable at just $36! Denise ordered it in 3 colors but it comes in a few other colors too. It has super flattering ruching on the sides, which is great for concealing a tummy if that’s a concern for you. We love that it’s sleeveless, making it a perfect layering piece transitioning into fall. And it’s a great wardrobe basic! She paired it with the same edgy buckle-detail slingbacks by Steve Madden that Erin previously shared above.

#42) Treasure & Bond Crochet Sweater Vest & Paige Wide Leg Jeans

Remember this sweater vest from Outfit #31? Denise styled it with a pair of wide-leg jeans and booties too! These wide-leg jeans are the same pair that Erin featured in Outfit #3. Her booties are by Reiss and the exact color keeps going in and out of stock, but they’re so good…grab them if you see them in your size!

#43) Varley Pullover & Zella Puffer Vest

For a simple activewear look, Denise threw on a pair of the iconic Zella leggings and an easy pullover by Varley. This pullover keeps going in and out of stock but there are a ton of great options in the sale this year. She also threw on this chic reversible puffer vest by Zella. One side is quilted and the other looks like a regular puffer. It comes in black and pink! On her feet, Denise is wearing a pair of Nikes that are unfortunately sold out. But there are so many sneakers on sale this year. Find them all here.

#44) Open Edit Sweater & Good American Cropped Jeans

Remember this Open Edit ribbed sweater that Erin styled with the matching skirt in Outfit #8? Denise styled it with the Good American cropped jeans for a more casual look. Throw on the edgy Steve Madden slingbacks and you have an elevated but easy dinner look! Find more ways to style this sweater in this post!

#45) Zella Joggers & Tank

Zella, Nordstrom’s in-house brand, has amazing activewear in the sale every year. Denise is wearing their super comfy joggers and a simple tank. You could wear this while running errands, lounging at home, or even working out. On her feet are the same On sneakers from Outfit #38.

  1. I was able to shop on 7/13 at 12:01, and have never even seen the beige Open Edit sweater. I don’t remember it in the previews, but wow that color must be amazing as it has never been shown up again! I had the red, gold & ivory on my wish list, with my color preference in that order. I am usually a M in tops, so that was the size I chose. By the time it was my turn, only the black was available in M and I do not need another black top so I passed, and resolved to stalking the website until one of my three came back in stock. Two days later I was able to go in to a store, and was able to try on the ivory in a M. I thought it ran a little small, and pulled across the chest around the neck too much, so I tried on a L in the black, which fit much better. I’m not overly chesty, 36/38 B/C depending on the bra, but I do have broad shoulders. I can see it on Denise, looking at the ivory on her.

I ended up buying the black in a L to have one, so I could exchange it for a color I wanted later as stock was replenished. I finally have a red top on the way, but now that I know that there is a beige one – back to stalking!! I really really hope I can eventually get one, I love that color so much.

    1. Crossing my fingers that the beige comes back into stock for you, Kathy!! It IS a gorgeous color. ~Team Busbee

  2. You did the best job covering the N sale. I follow many fashion bloggers and you fashion finds and outfit links were my favorites and lead to the most purchases!
Thank you for taking the time to post and link so many great items and outfit ideas.

    1. That means SO much to me, Kim! Thanks so much for your sweet comment, and thanks for being a part of this amazing community. Hope you scored some exciting finds in this year’s sale!! ~Erin xo

  3. I watched your video trying on the Nordstrom sale items. I learn lots from watching even though the sale isn’t relevant to me as Nordstrom closed its stores in Canada this year. Since I struggle with what clothes suit me, I found your pictures of the outfits that didn’t suit you to be really helpful. A lightbulb moment. I could see the difference in what worked for you and what didn’t. Perhaps this is obvious to other people? But it helped me understand. Thanks!

    1. I am SO glad this was helpful for you, Kelly! Love the point you’ve made about learning from this, even if this particular sale isn’t for you. Thank you for sharing! So glad you’re here in this amazing community. ~Erin xo

  4. Loved all the outfits for fall. Surprisingly, I have many of the Dupes to create the outfits….as i have been watching and learning from you at Busbee style!!! Thanks, erin!!
