Who is excited about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?? Truth be told, I’m not as excited as normal simply because the world is weird. But, I’m also welcoming the normalcy and anything that takes my mind off of the Twilight Zone that we now call reality. 😉
Quick FYI- Icon Status started last Tuesday, Ambassador Status started Friday, and Insider Status can shop today! Instead of going to Denver to shop this year, I waited and got everything shipped. Our Hive Community Manager, the gorgeous Denise, (safely) braved the stores to show you the best of the best from the sale! Keep scrolling to find some of my and Denise’s favorite outfits! We both picked up a few of the same pieces so you can see them styled two ways on different body types!
For reference: Denise is 5’5″ and wears a size 6. I’m 5’4″ and wear a size 2-4.
If you can’t shop until Early Access or Public Access, preview the sale to plan your purchase!

I love the sleeves on this sweater and the wrap front is super flattering! I also love this color for fall. The only thing to note is that you won’t be able to wear a jacket over these sleeves. I’m wearing it with some medium wash jeans and gorgeous Jeffrey Campbell brown booties!
These silky joggers are such a cool army/forest green color. They’re cool, casual, effortless! You can wear them running errands, to the grocery store, etc. And you’ll feel super chic but also comfortable! I paired it with a white tee and booties but you could also wear it with sneakers for a more casual look!
This black blouse is so pretty! I love the sleeves and the lace is so beautiful. It’s the perfect mix of edgy and elegant. I paired it with some gray skinny jeans by Rag & Bone and black Louise et Cie booties. You’ll be seeing a lot of these booties…they’re super comfortable and stylish!
#4 | Rails Camo Sweater
For something to lighten up your fall and winter wardrobe, grab this beautiful light blue sweater by Chelsea28. It’s under $50 and comes in multiple colors but I love the blue! I paired it with dark wash skinny jeans by L’Agence and black booties.
I love this sweater because of the length! It’s hard to find longer sweaters that cover your hips/butt/thighs because they usually swallow you up and you lose shape. But this sweater gives you that coverage, looks nice, and isn’t too voluminous. AND you can layer jackets over it! I’m wearing it with some straight leg jeans by Rag & Bone and black booties. I also threw on this cool Treasure & Bond hat. It has cool, subtle snake print trim I love!
This Veronica Beard dress is a stunner! The puff sleeves are on-trend but I love that they’re not too over the top. The fit of the dress is also amazing! If you’re looking for an elevated little black dress, this is the one!
Denise sized up one size.
This leopard top by 1.State is under $50! The print is small, which helps tone it down so it’s still subtle. The sheer billowy sleeves and mock neck are also very flattering. Denise paired the top with black L’Agence skinny jeans. I bought a pair of L’Agence jeans last year and loved them. Denise thinks these are great! They have an 11-inch rise…yay!! And I love the double button. For more NSale jeans, check out this post.
Denise said the top and jeans run true to size.
How gorgeous is this faux leather blazer!? It’s a statement piece that will dress up any outfit! The faux leather feels really luxe and the fit is great! Underneath the blazer, I’m wearing a black cami tucked into the L’Agence El Matador skinny jeans. On my feet, I’m wearing the Louise et Cie booties.
Denise has on the white Chelsea28 tank I always talk about! It’s not on sale but it’s only $49 and a great basic. Denise is wearing the same jeans with a cool raw hem…these are another great basic if you need skinny jeans!
Blazer and jeans run TTS.
#10 | Beige L’Agence Blazer
I LOVE the color of this beige L’Agence blazer, and so did Denise! It’s a great color for fall when we’re tired of wearing so much black and gray! I’m wearing a beige Free People bodysuit underneath and the same L’Agence dark wash skinny jeans. My boots are by Jeffrey Cambell and I love the beautiful brown color! And the chunky heel makes them easier to walk in!
Denise did us all a favor and tried out ALL the blazers! This is another gorgeous blazer by L’Agence. I love the houndstooth print and the color is really pretty. This is a statement piece for those of you who already have your basic blazer covered!
This flutter sleeve top is under $45 and comes in a bunch of colors! Denise has on the black and I have on a cool subtle leopard print! It’s super versatile…you can wear it with jeans, skirts, and pants!
#13 | Faux Leather Pants
These cool cropped flare faux leather pants by Halogen are under $50! I love them paired with the blue Halogen cami (under $25) Denise is wearing! I’m wearing them with a polka dot button-down by Chelsea28 that has cool pintuck pleats and black booties.
AllSaints has a couple of leather jackets in the sale this year that are all beautiful! The leather feels super luxe and I love this burgundy color. The hardware and belt at the bottom give it an edgy look. Denise has on the Rag & Bone Nina skinny jeans in Camden and I have them on in Universe…I love both washes!

Everyone on the Busbee Style team LOVES this gorgeous blue double-breasted coat! Most people wear black, gray or camel coats during the fall/winter, but this coat will make you stand out from the crowd! The length is great (remember Denise is 5’5″), it’s warm, and the fabric feels super luxe.
