Best Dresses!
Who needs a dress? In this VIDEO, I’m sharing my top ten favorite dresses for the spring and summer season of 2018. My list includes classic striped dresses that work well for all ages and body types. I also highlight some edgy and sporty day dresses for stay at home or work from home moms. I share some special occasion options like a gorgeous sequin mini dress by Rachel Zoe in a palm print with a dramatic open back, and a white mermaid lace dress with a high low hem for your bridal events or vacation! The trendy lavender dresses are my absolute favorites. Lavender is the stylish color of the season!
Blue & White Striped Dresses
I love a blue and white striped dress. It’s a classic look that can work for the office, daytime, day to night, or desk to dinner. It’s a subtle classic print. Some tips: Vertical stripes are small-scale prints are more flattering than horizontal stripes and large-scale prints.
Midi Length
The first dress I want to share with you is this super feminine one-shoulder dress by Vince Camuto. It’s midi length so you’re showing some skin up at the top so it’s nice that it’s a little longer. Since it’s an A-line or flared skirt dress, it will mask bigger hips, butt, and thighs if that’s your problem area. In contrast, if you don’t have hips, butt, and thighs, this flared silhouette will make you look like you do! It’s like a magic silhouette!
Tie Waist Option
I’m so excited about this Chelsea28 striped dress (sleeveless version here)! It’s so affordable and looks just like one by Veronica Beard. It’s so flattering and versatile. You can roll the sleeves up, leave them down, dress it up with wedges, dress it down with flats, and layer a jacket over it. It’s definitely a winner!
Seersucker Stripes
Next is a little dressier and preppy dress by J. Crew. It’s a seersucker dress so it’d be great if you’re going to the beach or somewhere preppy. I’m going to take it to the beach in June! It’s very feminine but has some sex appeal. You could also layer a cute denim jacket or white cardigan over it. For shoes, you can go neutral or add a fun pop of color!
Casual Day Dresses
Tank Dress
The next category is day dresses! The first dress I wanted to show you was in my last lookbook video. It’s a ruched tank dress by Vince Camuto. This is another one that’s great for layering. There are so many ways to style this dress and you can wear it with pretty much anything!
Striped Sleeves
I wore this dress to the blogger conference in Dallas. If you want to hear more about that conference you can watch the video here. This dress is incredibly comfortable and flattering. The fabric is a soft jersey fabric so it’s thin, lightweight, comfortable, and doesn’t wrinkle! I just love the racing stripes down the sleeves. It gives the feminine silhouette a sporty feel.
Ruched Dress
The next dress has been very popular amongst bloggers so you’ve probably seen it. It’s a ruched dress that you can be ordered sleeveless or with long sleeves. It’s sporty, edgy and flattering. It does run short though. There are also a ton of shoe and bag options with this dress.
Lavender Dresses
Lavender is having a moment right now. It’s a beautiful, feminine color that you can try out in a ton of different shades. The first dress I want to share is this dress by Thurley. Thurley dresses are exquisite. They are on the pricey side but SO gorgeous. You can see this one has so many beautiful details. It’s a wow dress that’s perfect for weddings or parties. It’s kind of heavy so I wouldn’t wear it somewhere super hot. I paired it with my favorite white pumps by Sergio Rossi.
The next lavender dress is this sweet, sexy dress by Bardot. It’s a great price and comes in multiple colors. It’s sexy, has beautiful lace detailing, and is a nice length.
Special Occasion Dresses
All of these dresses are show-stoppers! The first dress is perfect for a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, or special gala. It’s by Rachel Zoe. It’s on the longer side, cold shoulder, has beautiful lace detail and is just a really gorgeous mermaid dress. The high-low shape frames a shoe so you can wear a beautiful white pump or a fun colorful heel.
The last dress is a long sleeve, palm print, sequin mini dress by Rachel Zoe. It is gorgeous. I love the dramatic back because it’s something a little different. It just makes you feel sexy, edgy, and confident. You can wear this to a party or any other special event you have coming up.
