Brown Suede Tall Boots
If you are a regular reader, you’ve probably noticed how I’ve been slowly switching my wardrobe from blacks and grays… to softer neutrals like brown and beige. I’m doing that for a couple of reasons: #1) I love clothes. (obvs.) …and #2) I think neutral shades are often more flattering on mature women. I turned 45 this summer, but I swear I feel 30. Sometimes I quickly glance in the mirror and think, “Who is that old lady?” Anyone relate? 😉 In that split-second, I’m reminded that my actual age and how I feel on the inside don’t quite match up.
I’m having fun building up brown and beige basics and I found a few gems recently by Vince Camuto that are SO good, you will be psyched to wear them!

#1 | Brown Knee Boots
These boots are GORGEOUS! They’re the Modesie Cone-Heel Boot from Vince Camuto. They have a cone heel, almond toe, and are made from a beautiful suede. The boot shafts also have side-zips so they’re easy to take off and put on. I have them in “Seed Brown Verona” but they also come in black leather, dark gray, and burgundy leather. Like all Vince Camuto shoes, they’re insanely comfortable!
If you’re going to buy only one pair of tall boots this fall…get these!

#2 | Brown Handbag
The next neutral brown accessory that will be a big staple for me this season is the Robin Tote. I took this handbag with us to Gage’s lacrosse tournament in Santa Fe and it carried EVERYTHING! I carried my wallet, sunglasses, phone, scarf, stuffies, snacks, extra puffer, and a heck of a lot more! This is the perfect mom tote. It comes in three colors but I love the beautiful cognac brown color. It has cool jeweled hardware on the handles and pretty gold grommets on the side.
You can carry this bag as a tote on the shoulder or as a crossbody with the longer strap.

#3 | Brown Open-Toe Booties
The Kehrey Notched-Heel Bootie is the perfect brown suede bootie to wear with skinny jeans! They have a wider base, which helps to keep the jeans and booties from conflicting. I love the peep-toe for transitioning to fall. And the cutout on the heel gives it an edgy, geometric look.

My Fabulous Photography Assistant!
I took these pictures while we were in Santa Fe, New Mexico for Gage’s lacrosse tournament. I shot most of these pictures in the beautiful main plaza. When I saw the sun cresting over this gorgeous pink building, I felt like I hit the lighting jackpot. Nothing quite a dreamy as a sun flare shot (below)!! As most of you know, I took my own blog pictures for years before I started regularly hiring professional photographers. I still shoot myself when we travel. I thought it would be fun to take Bitty with me to help me with the shoots. She genuinely loves learning about photography and as you can see from the photo above, she loves posing too! I think we both do. 😉
