How to Feel Younger!
I talk about great style all the time and share helpful, simple styling tips. No doubt looking great is important, but feeling great is also KEY to living our best lives. In this post, I want to share some of the things I do everyday to help me feel more youthful, vibrant, energetic…and aligned. These are not the typical things you hear all the time like eating well, drinking plenty of water, and spending time in nature. The tips I’m sharing below are more obscure and likely… surprising. These are the little things that have truly changed my life. And, hopefully will change yours for the better too!
#1 | Ritual
If you are peri-menopausal or menopausal, vitamins and supplements will likely become a fixture in your life. (If you want to hear more about my journey with menopause, you can click here) A couple of months ago, I was joking with Chris that I’m going to need the world’s largest nightstand at our new house because I have SO many pills. I told him, it looks like a bonafide CVS over there. Ha! I kid, but seriously, I was taking around 7 different supplements and all had their own bottles. BUT.. then I found Ritual. It’s like one of those things that you don’t know you need until you need it. And, once you start… you’ll never go back. I’ve been taking their Multivitamin for Women 50+. I’m not quite 50. I’ll turn 47 this summer, but I am all the way through menopause already so it makes sense for me to take these multivitamins. #2 | Hypnosis
The second thing I do to feel more youthful that will probably surprise you is hypnosis. I listen to a 15-minute hypnosis at night just before bed. That’s when your subconscious mind is quite receptive. I find it relaxing and it often puts me to sleep. But, you can also listen to it during the day. I sometimes do that if I feel like I can use a little nap. Listening to hypnosis, even for 15-minutes, will make me feel more rested and energized.
What Is Hypnosis?
For those that don’t know what hypnosis is I want to give you a little bit more information. It’s very relaxing and soothing almost like meditation. It helps reprogram your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is steering the ship so it’s important that at that deep level you plant these positivity seeds so you can truly live your best lives. You can tell yourself “I’m confident, I’m confident, I’m confident!” until you are blue in the face, but if your subconscious mind doesn’t believe you, it’s pretty useless. Hypnosis may sound scary or too woo woo, but it’s a GAME-CHANGER!! I even download hypnosis sessions for my kids when they are struggling with anxiety or confidence.
Picking the right hypnosis session is really important. I joined a program during quarantine called Manifestation Babe Academy by Kathrin Zenkina. #3 | Always Learning
I’m always learning…! I literally LOVE to learn!! At any given moment, I am enrolled in 3+ classes and putting my brain to work definitely makes me feel more youthful and vibrant! I love to take classes about things I’m passionate about. For example, I’ve taken a manifestation class with the Manifestation Babe and another with Suzy Batiz. I’ve signed up for a mind/business course with James Wedmore called Business By Design. I recently started a class by The Royal Shaman. I’ve also taken classes on publicity, Instagram, YouTube, and SO much more!
It’s SO important to evolve and growing. Release yourself from your “stuckness” and become the best, most evolved, educated version of you!
#4 | Staying In Shape
I know I said I wouldn’t cover the obvious ones, but this one is SO important it needs to be repeated… EXERCISE. Nothing will make you feel old and sluggish quicker than letting yourself go. It’s really hard to work out. If it were easy everybody would do it. It’s definitely not easy for me. But, I try to exercise at least four times a week. I talk all about my routine more specifically in this video. I’ve tried MANY fitness programs by I always come back to my true favorite that actually works…Tracy Anderson! Working out and getting toned and stronger not only clears my mind, it also makes me feel happier and less anxious.

#5 | Do What You Love!
The last secret I want to share with you to feel more youthful is to do what you love! You’ve probably heard the saying that when you do what you love you won’t work a day in your life. Because when you’re doing something you’re passionate about it gives you a sense of purpose and fulfillment. It’s exciting and you want to jump out of bed in the morning and work on it! I know that with bills, and errands, and kids, and everything else in your life, you might feel stuck or unable to make changes. I challenge you to take one step toward doing something you’re truly passionate about every single day. One little thing. It will make you instantly feel more aligned and free.
