Do you remember Meghan Markle wearing the white Veja sneakers? After that, they blew up! Everyone has these stylish sneakers now. I bought them in 2020 and thought it was time to share my honest review of the sneakers and the brand. I am sharing the pluses and minuses of these cute kicks.
I’ve also done a review on the popular Golden Goose sneakers you can find here.
Veja Sneaker Pros
Over the past year, you’ve probably heard something about “sustainable fashion” at least once. It’s becoming more and more popular and important for people to find clothing brands that use better practices and materials. The best part about Veja, to me, is that they are socially responsible and environmentally friendly. They use fair trade methods and organic materials sourced from farms and ecological agriculture. Plus, they avoid chemicals and polluting processes in their production.
The second best thing about Veja sneakers are that they are stylish! Sneakers are having a moment and if you’re going to choose one brand to try out, why not pick one that’s sustainable and stylish!? They have multiple styles that are all so cute. The most popular are the V-10, V-12, and Esplar. They even have running shoes now too! I have the V-10 in classic black and white and I love them! But they also come in really fun colors too!

The last thing I want to mention is that these shoes are a great price point for the quality. Vejas all cost around $100-$150!
Size Tip: They run big so size down one full size.
Veja Sneaker Cons
Out-of-the-Box Comfort Level
There are not very many cons to these sneakers. The main issue I had with them is that they took a LONG TIME to break in. I’d say it took 5-10 wears…at least… to fully break them in. You have to be committed to breaking them in or they will never be comfortable. If you don’t want to take the time, I would honestly skip buying them. Out of the box they are very stiff.
Veja sneakers were not my favorite, but I still love the style. Even after multiple wears, they gave me blisters on my ankles and heels and never felt completely broken in. I’ve dealt with stress fractures in my heels for years and felt that these sneakers didn’t give me enough support there. Everyone’s feet are different so I’d definitely give them a try if you like the style!
